Cairns Flower Market

I ordered flowers for my nieces birthday. They were great in that I only put my order in the day before on a Sunday and were able to do the flowers for me. But the reason for my 3 stars is:1. I understand and read on the webpage that if the flowers are not in stock they will use flowers of the similar nature, however, the arrangement did not look anything like the image on the webpage.2. The card that came with the flowers was addressed to me (the purchaser), instead of the birthday girl, my niece. So when the flowers arrived, my niece didn't get the initial surprise of receieving flowers on her birthday. It was a delayed response.3. They misspelt words in the card.4. I asked for delivery by 10am, didn't arrive until 1130am.5. The customer service is poor. When I called to ask about the delivery of the flowers, I was made to feel like it's my fault for not knowing the delivery times and arrangements. Like how was I supposed to know, I just paid over $100 for flowers and for a service that didn't happen on time.Definitely won't be using them again.

I do NOT recommend this business. Roses didn’t come through for a wedding day that were organised weeks before. The flowers that came were not the right size and not sufficient quality. There was no care or concern shown. The fact that they didn’t have flowers was not told to the bride. We didn’t know until the day before when we went to pick the flowers up. Extremely disappointed.

I was promised flowers for my wedding that they couldn't get but was still charged for the more expensive flowers. I found Michael to be rude and arrogant. Very disappointed with the dealings I had here.

I can't speak highly enough of the fabulous flowers and excellent service standards of Michael and his team at Tesselaar Flowers. His range is wonderful, the quality of his blooms second to none, prices very reasonable and his presentation and customer service is excellent as well. Michael really knows all about the business of flowers and he is clearly passionate about his work. He's looked after all of my floral needs from the moment my Father became ill with the most fragrant of Lilies for his hospital room to the funeral flowers and then by creating a beautiful arrangement for the temporary memorial for Dads interment ceremony. He handled all of this with genuine kindness and sensitivity. I'm still turning to him for for any special occasion that calls for Flowers and have today ordered more of his gorgeous Lilies for my Mums 83rd Birthday and I just know they will be stunning with the most divine fragrance and last 3 times as long as flowers bought elsewhere. If I'm waxing lyrical it's because this gentleman and his business thoroughly deserves rave reviews. If you're thinking Flowers try Flowers by Michael Tesselaar . Simply excellent.

As I was visiting Australia, we wanted to get a small gift for the lady we stayed with, we came to Tesselaar flowers, a nice and big room with amazing varieties. Mr. Michael showed us around and we could get a very nice bokay.All people are very polite and helpfull, thank you very much, we are happy you shared and gave us this opportunity to be in a wonderfull world of flowers.

I walked into Cairns Flower Market last month to grab flowers for my girlfriend’s birthday, having absolutely no idea what to pick. I was stuck knowing her favourite flowers were out of season at this time of year, and instantly Michael started pulling ideas together for an arrangement. The attention to detail and quick work on his end were fantastic. Plus, they were a great price for what I wanted. It was safe to say she loved them and added an extra layer of surprise as we watched them open up over the next week and a half.

Terrible service, rude staff and poor quality expensive flowers.I was doing a bouquet for a friends wedding and decided to use this florist as they were close to work (despite the other bad reviews!). I made my selections and the order was written on a scrap of paper. Orchids were the central feature of my bouquet so I made sure they were on the list. I paid and was not given a receipt. When it came time for collection I wanted to check it was all in the box and the rude woman snapped it's all there"

I ordered my flowers from here for my wedding, The lady was nice, and prices are reasonable, cheaper then most florists. We did our flowers DIY the days before the wedding. We ordered more then what we needed which was lucky we did, some of the spray carnations were unusable, the stems were broken and some of the flower heads had fallen off. I also ordered one bunch of Dahila which were suppose to be 8 flowers, there were 8 stems but only 7 flowers. Perhaps we should of checked them ourselves before leaving the shop, but we didn't think we would have to doubt the quality.
