Salon Express

The day before new years last year (New year's 2022) I decided I wanted to be a full blonde. Blonde, not orange. They charged me around 350 dollars for the bleach, blow dry and hair straightening. I asked them to go blonde and have more blonde highlights like on the photo I sent them. They just put bleach on my hair and toner, charged me for the expensive toner which still didn't stop my hair from being orange. My result would have been the same if I bought bleach from woolies and did it at home. I think this salon only cares about taking people's money and don't really care about the clients results.

Hair stylist fabulous as she listened & it showed with the result. Shampooing was a bit rough with water splashed on face & in a ear. Not a lot but it was obvious she was distracted. The same area kept getting shampooed & conditioned. It wasn’t too bad but uncomfortable & she didn’t even notice. This didn’t take away from the great job the stylist did

Absolutely no attention to detail. Pretty bad haircut as a result. Not coming back. I felt like they only wanted my money and didn't care about doing a good job at all.

I was afraid to go back after a terrible cut that left me looking like a 70s poodle head. Previous to this I had good experiences at the salon, so today I plucked the courage and went back after 6 months. I'm glad I did. I requested a different person do my hair and the lady I had was professional and did a great job trimming the layers. I was pleased with the results. It was a long wait, but considering the price, it's worth it and I'm really happy to leave a positive review this time. It's just a pity you can't request to have the same person again or I would give 5 stars.

Never done a review before but wow, if it wasn’t for knowing how businesses went during Covid I’d have just walked out mid haircut and gone somewhere else.Sat down in a chair straight away which I was told to sit there then the person told me to “come here” which was the next seat over and that was the first red flag on the negative vibes I should of left then to be honest but I was feeling good so kept positive,Asked for half an inch taken off the sides and they gave me over 2 inches even tho I asked her multiple times to stop she’s going to high.She then said “why do you want it done like that?”Then proceeded to make me feel uncomfortable for the haircut I wanted and proceeded to do it her way instead.Mumbled to me twice then rolled her eyes when I couldn’t understand her.You succeeded in making a positive person feel like sh!T for a day, only thing that was positive was going to Woolworths and buying a par of $3 scissors and fixing it up in the mirror.

Unfriendly female barber. Terrible cut for my son. Ashame as the other barbers are pretty good.

Very good or very average, depends on which person cuts your hair. Been here 3 times. Would recommend Davilia opposite salon express.

Extremely lovely staff! Second time coming back to get my layers refreshed. Served once again by a wonderful hairdresser who I forgot to get the name of (who told me she was from Mauritius). She was kind, bubbly and patient when I asked her step by step what was happening. I loved how she listened for exactly what I wanted from the reference photos and talked me through everything with a smile. I'll be coming back :)

My daughter used this salon on the weekend, she had previously been to show them a photo of how she wanted her hair colour done. She was at the salon for several hours and was given a million excuses about the colour she wanted she was too shy to speak up as she has just come out of a domestic violence relationship so her self esteem is very low she had saved the the money to get her hair done.to give herself a bit of a lift of spiritI couldn't believe how they ripped her off they didn't give her the colour she wanted neither achieved the outcome she had asked for yet they had the nerve to charge her almost $300 when she walked out of the salon i knew she wasn't happy I didn't want to say anything to her as I knew she was upset. Later on I spoke to her and td her i had spoken to a friend who has been a professional hair dresser for 30 years experience and told her what they had done and she said to me that salons don't like to spend to much of their products and that the outcome should've been 10 times better than what they did. She spoke to my daughter and told her they had ripped her off. Please don't go to this people this was heartless and unfair how can they do this im sure my daughter isn't the first they've done this to but hopefully she's the last that's why I wanted to put my review on here.

Was 2nd in line for a cut and waited 15 minutes before the person at the desk asked to take my name down - I explained I had already been waiting a while but they didn’t care and put me bottom of the list. If this is “the way you do things here” then maybe pay a little more attention to the people waiting rather than standing around chatting. Gone elsewhere.
