Looksmart Alterations

After my fiance took his suit in to get tailored, I decided to take my wedding dress in for a minor alteration. I was quoted a time only two weeks from when I placed it in, which was way quicker than I had initially thought of. The price was quite realtive for what they did with the dress. It was much cheaper than I expected, too. The back of my dress is quite delicate and intricate, and it needed very careful work. It came back to me so carefully handled and fits like a charm. I'm extremely happy with the dress itself. My fiances suit is fantastic too, tailored just to him. We had to come back another time to get it worked on and was quoted another decent time frame, albeit this time a little more expensive. The customer service is relative for what they're doing, and can come across as a little abrupt but I believe they're just very busy and need to get a lot done. They are lovely ladies, and are always willing to help.

Pretty irritated. They told me I could pick up any time from 5pm Friday (late night), and assured me that they'd be open till 9pm. I arrived at 8:20pm, and they were closed.Now I have to come back in the morning after I drove all this way tonight, because they're either incompetent or liars. I don't have time for this bs. Not to mention I already paid the $80 for the alterations. Disgusting.

I would like to thank Eli and the team at Looksmart Casuarina. Eli was so lovely and friendly, she has worked on 3 pieces for me. I had found two 100% silk dresses from an op shop. The first one Eli and her team worked on, was turned into a beautiful scarf.The second dress was very fine satin silk. Unfortunately the design did not do this silk justice. Looksmart was my immediate go to for the second dress. I spoke to the lovely Eli and she turned it into a gorgeous wrap skirt and top.Very lucky to have a one of a kind couture piece! I am so impressed with the team at Looksmart, they have worked their magic and I highly recommend them, I will be back again for sure! :)

Horrified at the service. Went in to get a zip done as it was getting stuck in the fabric. The first time I went to pick it up they had sewn over it so asked me to wait another half an hour. When I went back I noticed they had torn the zip. So I had to wait another week to get a whole new zip. I've taken the item home and seen that they've torn ANOTHER hole at the bottom of the zipper inside the garment. How rough and careless are they? And you couldn't find a smile in there with a magnifying glass.Also the specials that Look Smart Alterations offer, they just put a hand written piece of paper over the offers instore that say 'Not Today,' but it's eveyday.

Deeply unpleasant experience... Service not provided AND refund denied. Lost $120.Here is the full story:*heads up: im not a Karen and didnt make a scene or even said anything rude at any point*.I brought a bag of old clothes for repairs, which the owner accepted although they made a comment about the musty smell (had been sitting in my car for a while in humidity) I apologised and offered to take them back to give them a wash, they said no it's ok, and charged me. When I came back for pick up the following week, they had not done any work because of the musty smell of the clothes....? They said that they left me a voicemail (they didn't) and asked me to wash the clothes and come back. I was pretty annoyed but didnt complain and took them home. After that, I had personal issues happening and didn't have headspace to follow up on it for a couple of months. I am now moving out of town and no longer have any use for these repairs. So I came back today, apologised for not coming back sooner, explained that i was moving away and politely asked for a refund. The owner refused. She stated that she remembered me, and still had my receipt, but was unwilling to refund me nor to perform the repairs because it had been 3 months. The 3 months rule" didnt seem to be linked to any technical constraint

Excellent service. The team was friendly and made a perfect fit in the time I needed.

Visited this store requesting a small repair garment was fixed within the hour at a very reasonable price

Very poor experience and would not go here again! Wanted a skirt altered.. started with poor customer service which should have been my first red flag but really just wanted my skirt to be fixed. 16 days later and no contact from them and hadn’t even been looked at to start alterations yet. Decided to take it to another alteration place because I was fed up of waiting. Told that they were extremely busy but couldn’t see one employee actually altering clothes in the back of the store. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else.
