Poor customer service.Took very long time to even resolve small issue. Poor service. Disconnect electricity for hours without any notice.Do not do work and still charge you the fee

I requested for the power on my new rental to be transferred/connected into my name on the 12th February (ref 28107).I never received a confirmation email however the property had power when I moved in.I was aware that the previous tenants where getting it taken out of their name or disconnecting it from their name.Unsure if the super switched on staff at Jacana either.1. Didn’t correctly put it in my name originally and connect it or,2. Didn’t put together that the connecting person and disconnecting person has completely different names and are different people and just blatantly disconnected it out of pure competence I’m sure.So now I’ve gotten home at 6pm from a 24 hour straight shift to a home that has no power.It’s Friday and Jacana being the main energy company in Darwin don’t have an after hours contact line nor do they work over weekends because why would you right? It’s Not like they have 85000 customers to disappoint continuously.So not only am I loosing hundreds of dollars worths of food and drinks from my fridge and freezer, I’m now working all weekend to come home and sit in a dark house with no air con and no fans….. in Darwin.I would give them 0 stars but I’m not allowed.

If I could put ZERO I would. It’s impossible to think that there’s no other Energy company in Darwin, it’s a rip off from the government, monopolising the sector! They charged us $475 for less than 35 days, just because we moved houses. And when we call to complain they said that the charges are not only from them and we should expected administration fees, that were $230!!!!! Who to complain to?? Who’s above them? Who’s responsible for their terrible service and rip off? No need scammers hiding behind burn phones or computers, we have Jacana to do it “legally”.

I wish I could give 0 star and there is other company to choose from like other states... WORST COMPANY EVER, but also nothing you can do cause they are the only energy company lol

RIP OFF They charge what ever they want for the services someone needs to regulate this company is draining money for everyone. $500 dollar for less than 30 days energy usage almost $300 just in administration fees.

Absolute garbage customer service. Called to push back on disconnection date a few days prior. All was sorted. Contractor turns up on initial date, disconnects power with no warning and walks away. Been on the phone for almost an hour trying to get power back on which they are charging me for. When I provided proof that I called days earlier.Absolutely worst experience with power company ever.

What terrible service! I receive a $3000 estimated bill. The customer service did not address the main issue and disconnected the call. I then lodge a complaint and they still can’t pick up the phone and talk …. Just another long winded response. No such thing as good old fashioned service with these companies that have the monopoly!
