Very warm and welcoming, could not have been anymore helpful with information in regards to local attractions and availability’s, very clean stylish relaxed atmosphere. Close and nearby everything, will definitely stay again

Refuse to give a refund due to Covid19. Poor business practice. Can understand that this is a hard time for the travel industry but is also hard on people who have lost their jobs and cannot get a refund. Shame on you guys! Taking advantage of the little guys.

Wonderful accommodation so close to everything We had two young children with us and they were delighted with toys etc. Air conditioning excellent beds super comfy and everything very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay

The owner refused to give us a refund, change our travel dates or give us a credit note for our stay due to COVID-19 restrictions preventing us from travelling to the area.We first contacted the property owner more than 1 month prior to our stay expressing our concerns over the lockdown and not being able to travel. The host was confident we would be out of lockdown and would not need to adjust our booking which was understandable.Upon the lockdown being extended the owners offered us to find someone else take our booking to which we were unsuccessful.The property owner has refused to give us our money back so we are now out of pocket and instead they have pocketed in excess of $300 from us without providing any sort of service. Whilst we understand that COVID-19 is difficult for everyone but it is poor business practice to treat customers in this manner including threatening to leave negative reviews on my Airbnb account and accusing myself of being aggressive and defaming their business name on social media which is highly incorrect.The owner will most likely respond to this review and try to justify that the booking does not meet their own cancellation policy or Airbnbs policy due to COVID-19 and whilst this is true, it is very disappointing to see how there was no compassion shown to myself and others who I know are in the same position with this property owner. Had we been offered a change of date we would have been happy to do so once things are open and we have free travel movement. Regardless of if this booking was booked through a third party site (airbnb) the option to choice good customer service, refunds and change of dates is an option to which this property owner has decided to go against.My advice would be to book with a property owner who shows compassion during these times and works collaboratively with you to resolve any issues with your booking.Update to the owners response:The owner suggests that we would receive a 50% refund what she is failing to note is that the refund is 50% of the full paid amount which we had not done. Again another display of the way this owner twists their words and shows dishonesty.BEWARE when booking with them.

We stayed at the stunning Heygarth House- ground level accommodation for 3 nights. What an incredibly lovely stay! The accommodation was very clean with fantastic facilities. The location was extremely central. We were able to walk to all the main tourist attractions. I highly recommend. Great for families with kids too!

Stayed for 4 nights on the Balcony Level, and we found it comfortable. Awesome location, and so convenient with a 5 min walk to High Street restaurants, cafe's, shops and attractions. Only needed the car to go further out. Kids loved the bunk beds and the Apple TV with Netflix. The goodies for booking direct was also a nice touch. Thanks, will stay again, if we're in Echuca.

Had a wonderful stay at Heygarth Balcony level with a group of girlfriends for a long weekend.This tastefully restored heritage property with modern conveniences is centrally located - a short walk from the port, shops, attractions, restaurants, pubs and supermarkets.The beds were super comfortable and the A/C was most welcomed. The highlight of course is the large balcony overseeing the street below with ample seating surrounded by beautiful soft lights at night.The complimentary breakfast and thorough welcome pack which provided information on Echuca was most appreciated and booking directly proved much cheaper than using a generic online accommodation platform.Other extras included secure off-street car parking, access to boardgames, Netflix and free wifi.Would highly recommend this property to a group of 6 people or less and hope to stay again in the near future.Thank you Treehouse Hideouts.Merywyn O’Hara
