Wing Chun Bing Fa Kung Fu Academy

I attended the Wing Chun Academy with Si Fu & Si Mo for about 12 months. I have been keen to try martial arts for a long time, and I spent a few weeks researching & speaking with a number of schools. On first entering the Wing Chun Academy at Charlton I knew straight away I had found the right place for me: the atmosphere & energy is noticeably inclusive & welcoming; it is a family type Academy with a down to earth approach to Kung Fu making it more enjoyable to learn what is a very technical skill. I would highly recommend Wing Chun Bing Fa Academy and thoroughly enjoyed my time there.

I started Wing Chun because I wanted to challenge myself to try something completely new and because I was really drawn to the history of the system. Like lots of other LGBTIQA+ people I have not had great experiences in this kind of space in the past, so I was initially a bit worried, but Wing Chun Bing Fa Kung Fu Academy is a really warm and welcoming place. SiFu and Si Mo are deeply knowledgeable and respectful, and thankfully for me also very patient! Everyone I have met here has been respectful and everyone wants to help each other on their own unique journey. For anyone wanting to begin - at whatever age - I can't recommend strongly enough!

Wing Chun Bing Fa Kung Fu Academy in Carlton is a great place to train. Both Si Fu Julian and Si Mo Sophie are both excellent teachers in all aspects of what they do. I have enjoyed every lesson from the first time I set foot in the Kwoon. I feel part of the family. I can’t wait to learn more. If you’re seeking to develop yourself, learn self defence or gain disciple in every aspect of your life, this is where it’s at.

Great place, wonderful people and incredible culture. Teachers are highly qualified and always supportive, and everybody do their best to help you learn and improve. Every level feels welcomed and quickly integrated in the team. Wing chun is a great martial art and life philosophy, and you can touch the passion the teachers have. I highly recommend Wing Chun Bing Fa Kung Fu Academy to everybody. I wish I could train every day!

WCBFKFA has a warm, respectful and welcoming environment. Starting a new martial art was nerve wracking for me due to negative experiences with karate as well as martial arts being heavily male dominated. At WCBFKFA I have always felt comfortable and quickly realized I had nothing to worry about.Si Fu and Si Mo are incredibly knowledgeable and are patient with each student, everyone does their best to learn and help others. Highly recommend for adult men and women as well as kids.

Wing Chun Bing Fa has undoubtedly been one of my best choices in physical progression. SiFu Julian's and SiMo Sophie's teaching styles motivate and support the cultivation of their pupils, both physically and mentally. The academy has been nothing short of welcoming with a community-based share of appreciation for everyone.WCBFKFA is an awesome place to learn and grow in.

Both myself and my partner attend the academy, and we both enjoy training with all the students. Sifu has a very interactive style and is always teaching and refining techniques. He is a great teacher who cares about his students. The class environment is also very warm and supportive.

This school is a great place to learn Wing Chun! SiFu and SiMo are very kind instructors who are highly skilled and passionate about Kung Fu and educating keen learners about it. Great teachers and an inclusive environment. I've been attending classes for three years now, and it's the best thing I have ever done for my physical health. Si Fu is patient and very very skilled and knowledgeable about Wing Chun and other forms of martial art. The classes cater for all ages and genders. You can progress at your own pace, and you will soon find yourself fitter and more confident.
