The attitude “I have a lot of work, don’t need to do you car” from the owner.Came in from a friend’s recommendation as I was gathering quotes to do a timing belt. I got 3 spot on quotes from 3 different mechanics. The owner turns to me as said he can’t provide me a quote as he doesn’t know how long it would take. Said it would be around $1700 because the timing belt needed to be sync (?!) no mate. It doesn’t, there are 3 bolts. Other mechanics priced around $1250. How I supposed to leave my car with him without knowing how much it’s going to cost. He said “It might need a new tensioner, who know” (?!) again… seriously?!Turns out and said “ I am too busy, don’t need to do your car “. I can’t expect much from a mechanic who can’t quote a simple job or doesn’t even know what entails to get it done.

I ( and all my family)have been going to Holton Spares for more than ten years. Steve and the team go over and above to repair and service our cars at the best possible price they always a call us before any unforeseen issues are dealt with and offer several options.If any of my children go on a long trip Steve will check the cars before and follow up with a call to see how they were. Highly recommend.

I own a quality car only three years old and just out of warranty. A business colleague recommended Holton Spares so I booked my car in for the 60,000kms service. The car was on the hoist at the nominated time and I was called to collect it 90 minutes later. The owner Steve is very personal and professional and the head mechanic Matt, demonstrated his experience by delivering the vehicle back to me on time, clean and with the log book signed. I totally refute the claim made in a previous review as they reflect a view completely at odds with my experience and suggest an unjustified grievance. Holton Spares are the best auto mechanics in Sydney. Steve is a wonderful trustworthy guy that I can always count on to tell me like it is.
