Marong Family Hotel
Went for a surprise birthday party. Staff were friendly and helped to keep the surprise factor.Had the gathering out in the beer garden area, which was spacious with lots of tables, and some gas heaters to keep people warm during the cold nights.The inside was quite clean and looked nicely done.

We had planned a party in the beer garden for a birthday party 3 months in advance and i arrived to bring balloons and set some things up and got told we were seated under a tree as there was another party out the back. We didn’t get told there was another party so we had been assuming that we were going to be undercover not under a tree. whatever we got over that and went down a hour later before guests started arriving and i’m glad we did. the birds had left a mess all over the tables and they came out the cleaned it up so we got over it of it and then there was maggots were falling from the tree. we went inside to tell them what was going on and all she had to say was “oh alright”. very poor service from somewhere we enjoyed going.

Service was nice, but that’s where it ended unfortunately. The pizzas were well undercooked, the dough stuck to the bottom of the box and was still raw partly through. The bacon on the pizza wasn’t cooked enough and both pizzas lacked flavour. The pizza was mostly just ham.

Would give 10 stars if I could. We came in on a very busy night with no booking and were told that food was 30-40minutes away. However, upon discussion of our situation, we were told if we picked something quick maybe we could be helped. Food was excellent and arrived within 10 minutes. Thank you so much Louise and the other lovely staff on tonight. Will definitely aim to stop here every opportunity.

Food was excellent, definitely will be back on our travels to Swan Hill. I had the Pasta, delicious. Staff and Service was great. Seating outside, also a Beer Garden.

Marong Family Hotel
This is hands down the best country pub in regional Vic!We stopped in late on our way home from an 8hr trip and they were packing up but they still offered to cook for us knowing there was no where else open on our way home.Food came out quickly and was amazing, I had the roast lamb and to say it melted in your mouth is an understatement. The staff treated us like family and were happy to banter while we waited and didnt make it feel like we were a burden.We will be stopping here every time we go past now!

The kids play area is amazing.The staff are amazing.The food is amazing.It's the perfect place to stop for lunch or dinner and they cater for GF food as well which is a bonus in our family.

Marong Family Hotel
We have driven past here for a long time, always saying we should stop here but alas always stopping up the line.Finally we stopped for lunch and glad we did - this place was great. The meal was fantastic. Great atmosphere either eating inside or out in the beer garden.We will be stopping here on our trips up north for now on.
