Really nice park, simple barbecues under shelter, toilets nearby. The seagulls are a bit aggressive! Beautiful water views and good for swimming if you're keen

Nice and clean place. Has a separate children's play area. Shops to buy food and drinks. Wind is bit hard, be prepared for that if you walk on the beach. Good place to hang out with friends and family.

Stumbled across the Long Beach Park Reserve on a trip to Hobart (stayed in Sandy Bay) and our 2 year old thought this was ace.... we couldn't get him off it he actually enjoyed it that much. He loved the whale slide, the twinracing" slides as he calls them and the park in general

This urban beach just gets better with age. Dynamically different at high or low tide, swell or glass conditions, southerly or off shore... and the walking track to the point and beyond is stellar. Glad it's so close to town.

Great play space for children.My boys love exploring the different levels and running through the ramps and swing bridges.Hours and hours of fun to be had.There is a new toilet block being constructed and when it is complete it will make toileting little ones so much easier and make the area more inviting- no packing up to walk long distances to the toilet.We have a routine of stopping by the beach (ramp acess) on our way to the care.It ticks all the boxes for our family:SwingsSlidesSeasawsMulti level play spacesBeachToilets (coming soon)Bbq shelterParking close by

Fantastic beach front with picnic park and playground adjacent. Parking too. Beautiful white sands and safe place to swim in this sheltered cove, with great views of the harbour entrance.

Great park with plenty of room and lots of activities for the kids. Great BBQ area. Toilets close by and lots of grassed area to kick a ball too. Hours of fun to be had.

Long Beach Reserve
On a bit of a mission to swim all the beaches in greater Hobart and so Long Beach was on my list. This is probably the most popular beach in Hobart and the local teenagers seem to love it. Its clean, which is a credit to Council. Local cafes made it a good place to sit and have a coffee after my swim. The outlook over to the eastern shore is a highlight. Make sure that you walk to the city end and get a look around to Nutgrove Beach, with Kununyi in the background.
