The park starts as little more than a path divided by a stream of water. There’s even a little bridge which will lets you get across from one side of the park to the other.As you keep walking you come across interesting plants and trees with some birds flitting from tree to tree while others are either swimming or meandering near the water.With a path running through from one street to another the park is used by walkers, bike riders as well as dog walkers. It is used by some people as a shortcut to avoid the hilly streets.At the Maine Road part of the park there’s some gym equipment. And I believe from the end of July to December, people interested in health-related exercises are going to be gathering there once a week.The great thing about this park is that it joins other parks so that you can start well inland of the peninsula and end up at the beach on the Hornibrook Esplanade.
