Lachy helped us remove a load bearing wall opening up living area and kitchen. Lachy managed the project effortlessly and professionally. Lachie and team did an amazing job to redo our 1980s kitchen and completely transformed the place we live in. Without an inch of doubt it is by far the best kitchen we have had in our lives. We engaged the services of Lochaven to renovate our 1960's built brick home. This project incorporated structural engineering modifications; the removal of supporting walls and subsequent creation of new walls; a new kitchen, laundry and bathroom; new external windows including two sets of three sliding doors; decking; rendering; two bedroom modifications; in addition to significant plumbing work.Our experience of renovating is undoubtedly influenced by the professionalism displayed by Lachie and his team throughout the entire process.Lachie's astute knowledge of construction lended itself well to our project. He competently and calmly navigated errors in our structural engineering plans. He eloquently engaged with our interior designer when he had ideas on how to make things better. Quite simply, Lachie is a conscientious builder. His obvious pride and enthusiasm about his job is infectious and ultimately results in the entire site working cohesively to achieve the same goals - to make the client happy!We consider ourselves privileged and incredibly lucky to have been referred Lochaven. From the initial site brief through to the completed renovation, we have been thrilled with the progress. Lachie's honest and considered approach meant that we were regularly updated with progress reports and there was transparency on everything he did.
