I've just come home after coming off night shift fifo to fix my daughters car which died last Friday.It has taken a week for Lakeland mechanic to try and figure out the issue. Which only took myself 5 minutes.Costing me $600 for a $5 fuse very disappointingI understand not all details of why the car died were included but what my daughters told me they were rood, not very great at communicating and ordering parts without authorisation.Would not recommend

So I'm so disappointedMy sisters car stopped working last Friday and called Paul and he sounded very confident in fixing the issue.Not all details were given on what happened when it died but should have been an easy fix cost my family $600 all up which was only a $5 problem.Please if you know anyone thats a mate and knows anything about cars or even YouTube first please do so because you will have better luck with that then with Lakeland mechanicTo have to call multiple times to see what's going on and to disregarded when trying to speak is awfulMany people can make mistakes but when you know your business is the one to blame you should pay up for the mistakeDo not recommend this mechanic at ALL

Not happy I had a very small coolant leak they said it was fi xed and no difference still have the leak

Been going there for a year or two for servicing of my small old car and been happy, but the last time the car and I left feeling abused and bruised! Was told after the service that all was good, but I needed a new front left tyre. After paying my car wouldn't start and spluttered and back fired. Mechanic started saying my mobilizer wasn't working, as well as rev counter, fuel gauge and the petrol wasn't getting through. My car was running very well before the service. I was then told that I didn't have any fuel, which I knew was incorrect as I had half a tank. The mechanic then tried and disconnected something under the bonnet, but it wouldn't start. This was a Thursday and I was told to leave it there for them to have another look at it. Friday the mechanic phoned me before they closed to say they couldn't find the problem and would look at it again on Monday. After not having a car for the weekend on Monday they said when they moved the air filter in the service they must have dislodged a fire and said they couldn't guarantee that other wires weren't now damaged. When I went to start the car I asked the owner, who was seeing to me, why the back seat was out? He leaned in to put it back and I realised he had grease all over his hands. I know my car is old but this was the last insult! I won't be going back there and told most of my friends.

Bad mechanic rip off don't go, filled my engine over line with oil use to take money off me and car still had problems everytime , also said clutch was all good a week later clutch plate burned ,broke couldn't get car in gear on freeway ...every car I took all of them broke, what a clown only gets back to the good service reviews which are fake or his mates lol gronk

I’ve been using Lakelands Mechanical Services for several years, nothing is ever a problem, even if I just want to call for advice. I have always felt safe driving as I use my car long distances and find the quantity work ever exceptional and very affordable- Thanks Paul see you next service
