Experienced Guitar Teacher - Inner west Sydney

Prior to finding Morello Guitar School I was having a hard time progressing with my guitar practice, both trying to learn on my own and with other less experienced teachers. I became frustrated and considered giving up the guitar for good until by chance I came across Brendan and Morello Guitar School.I have been having lessons with Brendan for almost 12 months and in that time I would say my level of enjoyment and skill has improved quicker than the previous five years of learning on my own. His lessons provide the structure required to make constant progress whilst also keeping practice fun and enjoyable. I have had both face to face and Skype lessons with Brendan and found that the Skype sessions did not detract at all from the lesson experience.As an adult beginner guitar player I can honestly say that Brendan has helped reignite my passion for playing guitar and has given me the confidence and skills to play at a level where I can now play songs on the guitar that I never thought I would be capable of.I would thougherly recommend Morello Guitar School to people of any age who want to improve there guitar skills.Daniel

I really cannot recommend Brendan highly enough as well as the G4 guitar method that he employs. I started as a complete beginner two years ago and now feel that I will be a musician for life. Brendan is extremely patient and knows how to mix lessons up so that you incrementally build up your technical skills while learning some tunes. There is always a considered plan in play and it can be challenging at times but if it was easy then everyone would be able to do it!!!

I had guitar lessons with Brendan for just over 12 months. Before attending I already knew basic chord shapes and could play a few songs however being self taught I had a few technique issues which Brendan identified and corrected. Those corrections alone made me a much better player in the first few weeks. The subsequent months of learning theory and putting it into practice took my playing to a whole new level. I can now play along with any music I happen to be streaming, transpose a song to a different key and improvise along to any backing track. I found Brendan to be a knowledgeable musician, a patient teacher and would happily recommend him to anyone starting out or like me looking to take their guitar playing to the next level.

Brendan has taught my son guitar for four years and me for almost three. We couldn’t be more impressed with his teaching. Brendan has the perfect balance of encouragement and rigour that ensures we have greatly progressed our skill and knowledge, while maintaining and increasing our enjoyment of the instrument. Brendan is always reliable, organised, punctual and polite. I could not recommend him more highly.

Really organised and structured lessons. It is great following the G4 method with Brendan as he continually develops my skills in all aspects of guitar. An excellent teacher.

I've been taking guitar lessons with Brendan now for 18 months and have gone from being unable to play more than a few simple chords, to learning Beatles, Jimi Hendrix & Led Zeppelin songs!Brendan teaches from his lovely home in Stanmore & his approach is caring & compassionate, with an emphasis on developing a steady practice. He teaches guitar is a well-rounded manner, incorporating skills (such as picking, strumming & scales) with your own choice of songs. I'm especially pleased that the lessons include learning to read music, which is something I've always wanted to learn, but often thought was too late for me to learn.I'm proof that it's never too late to start & Brendan's enthusiasm & support in building a regular guitar practice has definitely contributed to my confidence in learning an instrument.Highly recommended.
