The employees here were very rude to my friend and I. As a slightly larger woman one of the staff members was fat shaming me and telling me I wouldn’t be able to try anything I had chosen on that I knew would fit because she made the judgement that I wouldn’t fit in it. My friend has acne and she spent the whole time I was trying to look for things talking to her and commenting on her acne. It was not a positive experience for me at all and I would not recommend going shopping there if you want a positive staff experience

DO NOT SHOP HERE. They refuse refunds even those that fall clearly under Australia consumer law classification. They will classify an item that does not fit you as a ‘change of mind’ and won’t refund you even when they don’t have additional sizes. I feel sorry for their young employees needing to uphold such unlawful business practices. Shame on you Costume Land.

We got some Costumes ( me and two friends),but we were not allowed to take out the Accessories for the Costumes. We only have to fit the dresses on and when I got home I saw that my Corset's Suspender belt and in front of it,are Disintegrating!! I'll try to exchange it , but will do it on Friday. Hopefully the Salesperson will be able to do it for me.

On the 23/11/2022 I purchased a wig bowl cut with glasses brown Beatles John Lennon for a Tom Cruise Top Gun look from Costumeland Melrose Park Inv 517759. The wig was nothing like the the picture on the cover so without trying it on I returned it next day & the staff agreed that it was nothing like the picture, but according to them they were not authorised to give a refund & it had to be referred to a higher authority. I duly signed a form for that to be done but did not receive a copy. I now am out of pocket for $29.95 & do not have the wig either. I have had no communication from Costumeland & if I could give a minus rating I would

BUYER BEWARE!Great shop to buy costumes and accessories BUT as I found out to return a broken item and change of mind item unopened to exchange, this shops policies leave you at a loss! These items were a low cost accessory. To do so you have to fill out paperwork and wait on their decision. In saying this I feel for the great staff they have, to put up with the company's really bad policy on return items!

Absolutely feral area, shop run by a feral woman who is incredibly rude.Second time I’ve had the same experience, and it will be the last.Perhaps she’s just used to the average sketchy customer and I’m not used to being treated like a second class citizen. If I had ANY other options this late on a Saturday, I would never have made a purchase.I see there is an array of comments about her terrible customer service and rudeness so it seems I’m not alone in my experience…

What a shame I drove 45 mins to come to your store because it's advertised as open and it's closed for stocktake It would be nice if they advertised it on their web page or changed the Google page it's not hard, So that people don't waste their time thanks
