York's Lookout Lodge Bed & Breakfast
Jeanette and Paul are the most friendly hosts we've ever met on our first B&B. We stopped here for the night after visiting Wave Rock. Rooms were very furnished and well supplied (I have a sweet tooth!). Jeanette very kindly toured their collection of the British royal family memorabilia and we bought one for sale as a souvenir. Definitely stop at Jeannette and Paul's if you're passing through York.

Paul and Jeanette's home , hospitality and friendliness was beyond expectations. From the moment I arrived to the time that I left, they made me feel very welcome in their home. The standard of the room was of the highest calibre. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. I could not get over the little touches like beers and sparkling wine, soft drinks and water. Breakfast was delicious. A vast array of cereals and preserves. Yummy orange juice too. The fruit salad was fresh and delicious. Jeanette does great poached eggs too. I will be back sometime.

What a wonderful overnight stay to finish our 3week holiday. Jeanette and Paul were exceptional hosts. On arrival, we indulged on a surprise Devonshire Tea.The room was amazing, decorated in Vintage style, with so many extras ...ALL the toiletries any man or woman needed.Fresh fruit, Chocies, Beer, Bubbles, Cool drinks, DVD'S and NetflixBreakfast was delicious, accompanied with great conversation. Thank you so much Jeanette and Paul, you are a Special Couple, hopefully we will be back to visit again.

Nice quite location and close to the Mt brown look out. Nice to walk up to daily for some exercise and a great view. Hosts and very welcoming and have thought of everything to make you feel at home. Excellent value for money.

Jeanette and Paul are considerate and friendly hosts. We were offered delicious, hot scones with jam and cream on arrival and were made to feel welcome in their home. The room was clean, comfortable and it was packed full of history about the town. We had access to streaming services and an expansive DVD collection.They have a massive common area, within which to enjoy drinks and a beautiful view. The accomodation is a 5 minute drive/30 minute walk uphill to the Mt Brown lookout where we watched the sunset. There were lots of options available with the continental breakfast. Can't fault a thing; a truly relaxing home, away from home.

Jeanette and Paul are a lovely couple, very welcoming and friendly , it was like staying at a mates house, it is 3 minute drive to the town center and a minute or so drive up to the lookout... all over great value.

If we could give Jeanette & Paul more than 5 stars we would.Staying in the Willy Wagtail Room was like a home away from home.Jeanette spoilt us rotten and we will definitely be back.We can't thank them enough.Lisa & JohnXxx
