Aki has been making me look good for the past 6 years and I foresee us growing old together with my immaculately cared-for hair coming along for the ride.Prior to Aki taking care of my hair I had some pretty woeful hairdresser experiences: From being asked by the same girl at Just Cuts if it was my first time there, for a whole year (which led to me questioning my permanance) to once being abandoned mid-haircut for 30 mins by a hairdresser who was required to prioritise serving any customers who walked in the door wanting to buy products, these experiences had me thinking getting a haircut would forever be a joyless endeavour. And then I found Aki, whose pleasantness and professionalism and sheer virtuosity with scissors makes me look forward to getting my hair cut each and every time.I've found the perfect hairdresser and I couldn't recommend her highly enough.

Aki is an amazing hairdresser! She came highly recommended by friends and I can understand why. She is extremely patient in working with her clients in understanding their needs and will be honest about what will and will not work. Will definitely recommend her services, I've always left feeling happy.

I had the absolute pleasure to meet and get my long overdue haircut done by Aki. For many years, i had always gone to a barber shop who provide me with the same hairstyle over and over again. As soon as I met Aki, she immediately stood out... I could quickly identify the different skill set and professionalism that she showed. The level of detail and execution that she displays when providing a hair cut is second to none. It’s safe to say that I’ve now found my hairdresser for the rest of my life, you’d be silly If you didn’t book a appointment with her! Thanks once again Aki, see you next time

BEST PLACE EVER. Moved to Sydney 3 years ago and I have been getting Aki to cut my hair ever since and never needed (and never want to) find another hairstyljst to deal with my hair. Aki is the nicest and most talented hairstylist I know! She knows what you need and what you want. I go there trusting her with my hair all the time, and she never fails to do a perfect job. Highly recommended.

Aki has been cutting my hair for years. The first time I went to her was also the first time I stopped complaining about having a bad haircut! I’m always happy with my hair after an appointment with her. She cares about the health of your hair and chooses to continually educate herself and keep up to date with trends/techniques by attending industry workshops.

Growing up, I hated getting a hair cut. Because, I was always unhappy with the end result. I could never find a hair stylist that understands what I wanted. There were times when I would think I found the person, but they'd almost certainly screw it up the next time. However, Aki is different. She is the first hair stylist who actually understands. I, actually enjoy getting a hair cut these days. And the results are always great. If you share a similar experience growing up, I'd recommend Aki.

I’ve been a regular client of Aki’s for over a year. My hair always looks great after a visit to her little salon in Darlinghurst - I get loads of compliments. She makes my coarse hair smooth and silky every time… I wish I could replicate it at home! I like the small touches, too – the soft pillow to rest my arms on (while waiting for colour to take), and the yummy little Japanese lollies!
