Christiane's Hair Design Salamander Bay

I have been going to this salon for years now & have been very happy with the service they provide. I have had a few different ladies colour & cut my hair over years & most recently Renee who I thoroughly recommended.

Straight away was seated and asked if I would like a tea or coffee.My hair was a cut and colour job.I was more then happy with the outcome.Friendly place friendly people.

I brought my daughter in for a trim and there was two young hairdressers sitting on their phone in an empty salon . I asked for a trim and like an inconvenience she took my daughter to the chair . She then started picking up my daughters hair like she was looking for something and after a couple of seconds of looking said she found a lice egg and couldn’t do her hair . My daughter had not been itchy nor did we find any eggs in her hair . I took her to another salon and they could not find anything and was more than happy to do her hair. The salon was completely empty you would think customers would be a priority, apparently not!! The worst service I’ve ever experienced . Who ever owns this salon should think better of hiring young and lazy staff .

Manager was extremely rude and unprofessional. I understand its before Christmas, but this was just bad customer service all around. Made an appointment and still had to wait 30 min, she could have just asked if we could come back in 30min instead of attacking people about the wait times.Also extremely rude and condescending to the young girl whos hair she was cutting who didn't know hairdressing terms - that's not her job - its yours!!!Only hope she didn't take out her bad temper on the poor girls hair.The rest of the staff wee cringing when she spoke to themWould have rated negative if possible,

Have been coming to this Salon for several years now, girls are always up for a chat which is lovely. Very honest with you about what you want versus reality.Great bunch of girls, never had any issues here at all. Friendly, Professional, Relaxing and always happy with the end result.

This afternoon, we went to the salon in Salamander Bay Shopping Center; the person who attended my mother wet her t-shirt and did not rinse the conditioner, which is still on her hair (hard to the touch).She left my mother unattended to run to answer a call; she was waiting for the person in charge of the salon to finish serving a client to ask her a question while my mother was waiting unattended, all wet.She partially dried her t-shirt with the hairdryer, leaving my mother's hair so wet that the water was pouring on her neck and back.We received terrible service today; it is a shame that the employees who used to work there are not there anymore and that the owners believe that it is more important to answer the phone than give a good service to the clients that are in the salon, we will not return there.

The hairdresser might lie to you when she overprocesses your hair... But your cowlicks won't! This is 6 months worth of regrowth from a 'double scalp bleach' that I did not ask for. And,... that's not a 'cut' fringe either. #dontgotocristieanes

I come in every wk for a wash and blow dry and always treated with such professionalism from everyone.
