Scarlets attitude and no empathy when price matching to selected place that I've done for half a decade was a serious slap in the face, we are paying customers!!!! Easily shuts the door for this store, not worth the hassle and discrimination

Most of the games there are preowned, that's fine, it's just a better price for a game that's been used but still in condition. Like all of these stores actual merchandise varies location to location.

They have a great selection of games (as well as plenty of other merchandise, which takes up a lot of space, but doesn’t detract too much). The staff were knowledgeable and genuine when helping me to find the games I came in for.

A girl named B*** gave me an ugly and impatient look when I made two enquiries about the game which I was about to buy. She certainty needs more training in customer sevice. Please remember to smile to a customer and be patient always.

Piper was super helpful but Scarlett refused to price match. I was waiting patiently in line whilst she took her time with the customers in front (completely fine). Zero empathy. Seriously why is there no flex on price matching? I drove specifically to your store to pricematch. I had vouchers to use. Otherwise I could've just purchased it online and had it delivered free. Why would you not want the sale?? Maybe try to put customers front of mind rather than be stupidly and blindly 'by the book'. Seriously consider your stance on price matching. Everything is so much more accessible. You seriously do not need a business degree to see your sales will move to your competitors if you have price match policies that match only the stores in the 'CBD' that are in stock at the time of purchase. Not coming back until this changes. Hope you enjoyed your little power trip Scarlett :)

Very bad customer service. I went in the store when it opened at 9am and the guy could not even go into the back for 30 seconds to get my console. He told me to wait another hr for his colleague to arrive. Then he gave me attitude when I came back into the store. They need to go to school to learn the basics in customer service!

decent but not all the staff seem well trained. When asked to price match some say yes immediately while others go ask their manager. Not many of them are very knowledgeable on products either.

I just went into buy some Pokémon cards and was served by Bridgette. I don’t know why but she had attitude when she was serving me… for some reason she acted as if I was asking her to move mountains but all I wanted was a couple of Pokémon card packs. She really needs to learn to be more warmer and welcoming towards customers. I’m not coming to this Eb games again no way!

Hi there my name is Emardh. At approximately 2.08PM on Monday 03/04/2023 I went into the Melbourne central EB games store to browse with my 2 year old son. Firstly Id like to start of by mentioning that I am a retail store manager my self and every bit of this complaint is purely just an observation. One that I personally felt extremely uncomfortable experiencing based on Bridget’s unprofessionalism. When I went in as a customer I inquired with Bridget about a game I wanted called last of us for PS5 I showed a price match and she shut me down instantly and told my why she couldn’t using unnecessary jargon that I honestly couldn’t even explain to make sense of which was perfectly ok at that time. I also asked her when we could expect the new assassins creed to come out again she responded by saying some time this year. At that point I felt she was really unenthusiastic and dismissive of me so I carried on simply thinking fair enough “everyone has bad days some times” that did not bother me what so ever at that point however what got me really uncomfortable was when Bridget turns to their staff in the retail shop floor and starts yelling at another colleague about a compliance metric. She stated in an extremely abrupt and threatening tone “if you or any one leaves the safe open again that’ll be a written warning” colleague responded yes 3 times but Bridget kept repeating herself and it was evident to me at that point that Bridget was on a power trip with this particular college whom almost seemed like she was in tears. I took the initiative to stand up for that girl advised Bridget customers are in store that’s extremely unprofessional and that these conversations of compliance such as leaving safes accidentally open should be discussed in a private and professional manner, one which I personally believe Bridget needs some extensive training on based on the display of actions she showed in that small interaction I had from being in that store. I intended on purchasing 2 games then and there but I just had to leave after that experience. I truly feel bad for that employee that took on that abuse and simply kept saying yes. I also strongy believe that work place mental health could be a contribution to people simply forgetting to close safes etc especially due to Bridgette’s power tripping attitude towards that colleague. If there is any further conversions you would like to have with my anoint my experience please email me or call me. I will be leaving this as a google review too! Thanks kindly to whom it may concernEmardh
