Maylands Waterland

Interesting place for toddlers in summer. Two main water areas allowing for lots of different ways to play. Love the dedicated areas for events and free space to set up gatherings as well!

Good water playground for the kids, especially during the hot weather. Park is enclosed and by the river, great views, toilet facilities, BBQ, bin, shed and seats plus plenty of parking space.

Maylands Waterland has recently reopened with a huge update. Most of it now is zero depth with one section near the water bucket filling up at times to just over ankle depth. I took my 8 and 5 year old here a couple of days ago at about 3:00pm. They were happily occupied for 1.5 hours before it got too cold due to the wind.Great free fun!

*update: visited today and the water is on! Fabulous! Top area has most spray and fountain type water play for running through, bottom area is calmer with a bit of a shallow (ankle deep) pool. Will be amazing in summer time. I've updated photos too!Great little park that's been recently reopened after a long time redevelopment.There is extensive waterplay/splash pad there, maybe the largest free waterplay in Perth. It wasn't turned on yet since it's winter, but I can't wait to visit in hotter weather, kids will love it.There's also nature playgrounds at the top area near a tables and chairs area that I think you can reserve. There's BBQ's there and grassy area too.While we were there they were still putting fencing up, so I think the entire area will be fenced which will be good for little runners!It is right up against the wetlands, so good view of bird life and the river. There's toilets and warm water showers for the waterplay facilities. The park has a small parking lot, but I imagine in summertime it will fill up very quickly!

A great level modern water park for 1 maybe 8 year olds Max had toilet facilities BBQ facilities lots of shade lots of shade around the pools and water area is the deepest pool is ankle deep lots of Green Grass areas and free to the public making this a lovely day out with young family members

We went last Saturday and got there an hour after opening. Every car park including the overflow were full, took a chance at the boat ramp and were lucky.Not enough car parking.Park is lovely and the kids enjoyed it. We've brought generations of the kids here, so we remember what it was like before and must say we missed the pools. Still a good park and great its free. Plenty of facilities and nicely decorated and layed out.Families hired the party area, while other families just setup with marquees around the park for birthdays etc.. nice atmosphere.

Such a great family day out. Plenty of things for kids to play, climb and swing on.The water areas are fantastic with frogs and other things straying water and even a water fall.There are a few tables and bbqs so if you want one get in early otherwise plenty of grass to sit on.Parking is a bit of a pain and saw the ranger out and about even on a Sunday.

The playground is great for the kids, lovely water play and and normal playgrounds with a round swing. The the fake lawn was a terrible idea in a kids water playground, kids trying to get off the hot pavement run to the fake lawn which feels 10 times hotter on the bottom of your bare feet. Why they couldn't put in normal lawn in these areas, who knows?
