Fantastic level of detail for explanation of all things 4WD, recovery the do's and do nots.Richard provided a very thorough level of detail verbally before letting all participants practically explore their own 4WD's. First showing us how to fail before explaining the reasons why, fixing and then showing how to achieve great technique successful navigation of various obstacles regularly encountered. Thanks Richard, haven't learnt that much in a day for years :)

A great day out on the Sand Course at Wilibinga! The rendezvous before setting out was quick and efficient. With only 5 cars in total it was easy to get to know one another and get some quality time 121 to understand your car, its capabilities and build confidence. There was a solid balance of learning about key factors for 4WD and getting to see what your car could do. I spent the day having fun, learning a lot, and growing in confidence as a lot of the myths of 4WD were dispelled. I 100% recommend and will be returning soon to complete the bush course.

We had an amazing 4-day 4WD and camping trip with Richard from Adventure Offroad Training. It was a blast! The level of instruction was top-notch - we were given a thorough explanation of the theory and science behind off-roading and then had the opportunity to put it all into practice right away.The itinerary was incredibly well put together too. We got to drive through all kinds of terrain - from the bush to the beach - and the highlight for me was learning how to drive up to soft sand dunes with confidence.Richard, Ian and Jeremy were always there to give us tips and advice, and you can tell they are really passionate about what they are doing.I would highly recommend Adventure Offroad Training to anyone looking to improve their off-road driving skills or simply have a great time outdoors, exploring some beautiful landscapes.

Excellent quality training - tailored to the needs of each car/driver. Suitable for all levels of off-road driver experience. The bush course explained all the necessary theory and went through a variety of practical training. Richard was super knowledgeable and a very approachable instructor. An expense but worth every cent - would highly recommend!

What a fun but most importantly informative day. My husband and I are new to 4wd so were very keen to understand the basics. I contacted Richard and from that initial contact I knew he was the right person as he was very patient and reassuring as I asked him lots of questions.We completed the sand course and by the end of the day, we both had learned so much and are excited to now go and consolidate what we’ve learned. Richard is all about safety whilst still having a good time. We had a great group, everyone worked together and it was nice to know that people doing the course aren’t necessarily experienced at 4wd.It’s reassuring to know that Richard is only a phone call away for questions. We will definitely be doing the rocks course. I can’t rate Richard highly enough.

The beach training day with Richard exceed all my expectations. I entered the day with little to no 4WD experience and anxious energy about getting stuck. Richard’s knowledge behind the science of why different adaptions are successful, helped me to understand what would work for my Ute. We were given opportunities to experience our cars ‘fail’ in different scenarios, to problem solve how to get out. Richard is not only a knowledgeable and experienced 4WD trainer, but he is also a genuine and inspiring person. I felt calm, supported and in control of my vehicle throughout the day. I now feel confident in my driving ability and have a deeper understanding of my vehicles limits and capabilities. I look forward to the new adventures I will embark on after this training day.

Cannot recommend AOT and Richard enough! My Fiancé is new to 4wd so I booked her into the beach course so she can gain confidence in how to 4wd. Richard and Troy were absolutely fantastic! They taught her so much giving her the confidence to drive the car in a safe and responsible manner. They pushed her out of her comfort zone in a safe and controlled environment which allowed her to really learn and understand the art of 4wding. Can definitely recommend AOT. I will be coming back for more courses including the bush course! Richard and Troy were so knowledgeable that anyone can learn from them regardless of the prior experience levels!
