Stewart's Sewing Machine Centre

I recently purchased a Skyline S3. I went with the intention to buy a machine with larger throat than the 12yr old Toyota Quiltmaster I currently have. When I took it from the box I realised that it is only 1.3inches larger, hardly worth the money I paid for it. When I requested a refund because it is not what I expected, Ross the owner declined my request. He stated that he would be willing to buy it back for $800, when I paid over $1400 for the machine. What an insult. Its been removed from the box and immediately put back but apparently that causes the valve to drop by over $600. The ladies who work there are lovely and I mean them no disrespect but I will NEVER go there AGAIN!!

Friendly, helpful service, good atmosphere, knowledgeable assistance. Arrived home with a product that met all my requirements and more. Delighted with my purchase and with the assistance which enabled it.

I would not recommend this repair service to anyone. Customer service was abysmal and lacked any communication.After 18 months in the repair shop I gave up and retrieved my machine. I found it had missing parts, the stitch selector button was broken and machine was covered in dust. I have asked for the parts returned but was told he was too busy.Now my machine is completely unusable!

Bit dodgy the problem in Tasmania not much choice for sewing machine. Would not buy from here.

I have been using Stewart’s for years I have brought industrial machines and domestic machines from Stewart’sI have been in the industry for over 35 years and I have used all the machine shops over the years and Stewart’s are the best by farI have had them fix machines that no one in Hobart couldThey know what they are talking aboutI believe in giving credit where credit is dueMy job would be so much harder if they weren’t aroundKeep up the good work guys

A so called $50 deposit is actually the minimum charge to check out your sewing machine. I consider this false advertising/ripoff.
