Local Melbourne Roof Plumbers

I had this company booked in for an inspection as we found a roof leak. Original day was booked for 3 in the afternoon as we were busy that morning. Had someone call the night before (sounds like they use a call room service overseas) to change to first thing in the morning, advised her we were busy and it had to be 3, lady said she would call back. Never did and they did not turn up. Re booked, again called the night before to come earlier than expected. The lady called while the inspector was in his car sitting down our street. The inspection consisted of a drone taking pictures and that is it. Could not even do any work on the day. We asked if they would do the fix on the day and were advised yes originally. The inspector advised nothing could be done to prevent our issue and that we could possibly need our whole roof re tiled as it was not a common issue for a house our age. Decided to get a roof tiler from another company come and look. He was fantastic and fixed the issue with no extra charge. It only needed to be cleaned, this was something that could not be seen by a drone. This company needs to rethink how they perform their inspections....

Highly do not recommend these people! Paid thousands to get my roof leak fixed only to have it leaked again. Went back to them to get it looked at again but they wanted to charge me another few thousand to fix the same problem that they couldn’t get it done right the first time. I ask them why should I pay more and they said that the company is currently going through liquidation! My advice is stay far away and look elsewhere

BEWARE. Like many here I do not recommend this unprofessional company. I had a roof leak and called for an assessment. I was made aware that there would be a call out fee in exchange for a quote. The worker came promptly, spent approximately five minutes on my roof and then informed me it was not built to code with insufficient slant and flashings. I was told it would be several thousand" to fix and he tried to book the work there and then. When I refused

I previously wrote a positive review to the company because they offer to waive my call out fee if I write them a review. Long story short, in the last few months I have this ongoing conversation with the company via email questioning their invoices to me, which one had been paid for upon completion of job, and one is to charge me for the call out fee. This is totally unacceptable as over the phone I was told it will be waived. Anyways, beware of reading all the positive reviews and always think twice, I believe some may not be genuine reviews. Always ask for a quotation to be sent electronically before commencing the job instead of on site quote, to reduce trouble down the track. Knowing this is not always possible because you are under the pressure of having a leaking home. But trust me, it certainly wasted me lots of time to debate and it is ongoing. They also reply very slowly (you could expect to be responded to every few months) and in an unprofessional manner (wish I can disclose my email conversation with them on a public platform, impolite and threatening). Well, a matter with the fair trade now for only $110, why bother and I wished I've engaged with another company with better management or customer service from the start. They do not have their own plumbers, all contractors so you better off contact a plumber directly.

We feel scammed for having paid $17k for 2 x days work (3 guys on Day 1, 1 guy on Day 2)The job didn't end up being as involved as what the guy quoting had thought it might be.We were warned not to go ahead with the exorbitant quote by our builder, and various others in the know, however we were keen to get the job done in a hurry, and we were promised they would have the capacity to fit us in before Christmas. Unfortunately, it turned out they were very busy (as confirmed by the roofer who came on site complaining he had been overbooked) .Despite this we were happy the job itself was done to high quality.Part of the reason for the expensive rate is probably all the fluff- electronic forms, call centre operators in Asia etc, using subcontractors. (All which made it a smooth process though. )

Work was done in a competent and professional manner. We were very satisfied with the outcome..My only negative is that we were not notified of when the plumber was to due to arrive on site to undertake the job. Fortunately, however we did happen to be at home when he arrived.

Thieves, ripped me off. Quoted for a $4k job (the guy that came out was knowledgeable and decent), made me pay 50% up front, which I did, then nothing. Basically stole over $2k from me. Have been chasing through the bank to recover money but not looking good. Avoid like the plague.

I asked for a quote July 2022. I got a piece of torn off note paper handwritten for a price in excess of $5600. I asked for a proper quote for my $108. I wrote a courteous email to the GM of the service explaining the situation in detail. I got a short email back saying they would get back to me. Never heard another thing until Jan 2023 7 months later. I rang the number got an administration person who said they would reply in writing. Today I got a text saying overdue bill with another $50 costs!An amazing business model. Don't use this service!!!! Had another service complete the roof for $3200, professional quote, timely, efficient and written guarantee, NO CALL out quote fee.

Quoted $6000+ to replace nails with roof screws on a straightforward job - single story uncomplicated tin roof. They would have only done half the roof anyway. There is a days worth of work involved max. Found it difficult to believe it would cost that much so asked another roof plumber for a second quote and he quoted $700 + materials. And of course they sting you for a 108 dollar call out fee regardless.If this business wants me to take down this review then pay me back my 108 dollars.
