Pawprides

We are very happy with pawprides. Our 3 year old Maltese shitzu, Buffy, was very reactive to dogs, especially large dogs, which made taking her on walks a bit of a nightmare. Thanks to Jalen, we are now able to walk her at the strand and take her to Sunday markets without incident. Our relationship with her has also changed, she is calmer and less on edge at home and she is more attached to us. Jalen has taught us how to understand her and her needs and how to let her know what we need from her, leading to a much calmer and happier household.

Fantastic experience! Phil (dachshund) is now much calmer in public spaces and much better behaved in general. Sean was great at explaining things, checked in regularly and often sent videos to help explain our homework! Would highly recommend.

Pawprides have been amazing with Maya. Jalen showed us tools that she responds to and how to use them. He got us thinking like a dog so our communication with her has improved dramatically. People on our walks say she is a different dog. Maya loves the adventure hikes.

I engaged with Pawprides when I got my dog Loki who I was training to be my Service Dog. I needed help with communication for the type of relationship that would work with a Service Dog, obedience to another level that could allow me to go out into shopping centres.Sean has not only assisted in this area but has changed how I train my dog and given me a different view on bonding and my relationships with Loki.Pawprides technique and style is different from other obedience classes that I have been to previously. We reached out to Jalen from paw pride when we had challenges with our American staffy who had recently developed behavioural issues, aggression and was pulling horribly on the lead. Our dog was not letting any unfamiliar people into our house and it was becoming a highly stressful issue for our family. From the beginning, our experience was nothing but positive. Jalen was so thorough and patient and worked endlessly to educate, coach and model strategies and recommendations so we were able to continue Doug’s training at home. Jalen worked at our house and in our natural park environments and implemented methods which has led to an effective and reliable training experience. Taking on the training from paw pride has been one of the best decisions we have made and our dog is completely changed for the better. I cannot recommend the guys more highly. They have not only assisted in helping our dogs but built our confidence in how to correctly train, resulting in a a stress free life. A couple of our mates recommended Pawprides when we got our baby husky, and we decided to give them a go and haven’t looked back since! Jalen is a spectacular trainer for not only my boy Leo, but also coaching me how to effectively and confidently train Leo myself. Leo has grown into such a happy and obedient dog thanks to Pawprides. Highly recommend Jalen, he turned my uncontrollable dog into a dream dog. My dog now doesnt jump on guests, but waits patiently for them to come to him. Major is a very active and social 14month old German Shepherd. He loves to meet every dog, every person, whilst also protecting me at all costs. What resulted was a very reactive dog, making it nearly impossible to take him anywhere.I contacted Jalen to assist and boy was I happy I did! We started with Jalen and Major working together to learn the basics, before I started private sessions to learn the commands and strengthen both our verbal and leash communication.We have gone from trips to our local park being difficult, to now being able to go to highly stimulating environments without a problem.I cannot recommend Paw Prides enough for simple things like bettering your relationship with your dog, all the way up to completing complex activities together.

I waited 4 months for a place with Jalen Romeo “Paw Pride” to have my Red Heeler Cattle Dog Zeus trained. Well it was the best decision I have ever made. Jalen is the most wonderful young man Zeus just loves him and I have a dog that I can take anywhere anytime his behaviour and obedience is 10 Stars. Zeus has been socialised with other dogs and goes out with his mates and Jalen on a regular basis.
