Budget Party Hire

These guys are cheap but bare in mind you get what you pay for. We hired a dance floor among various other items for our wedding. The floor was missing over 60% of the joining clips and didnt sit flat. It was a tripping hazard. I complained and was told they would send someone to replace and install the dance floor. But when they arrived the only supplied 40% replacement tiles. It was still unusable and so we did without. Yet budget hire still charged full price and a pick up fee to collect the floor. Highly disappointed, wouldnt use them again.

The kids furniture is always a hit at my children's parties. Great value.

Hired an array of tables, chairs and wine barrel for my wedding - they arrived in absolutely appalling condition, filthy dirty with rips, dents, rust and food scraps all over. After several phone calls they agreed to send someone out to help clean the products as well as some covers to hide the rusty tables - the covers were dirty and the cleaning member arrived with a cloth but no other cleaning equipment and left 10 minutes later saying ‘that’s all I can do’ with out actually cleaning anything. My Bridal party and I spent the entire day/night before my wedding and the morning of my wedding scrubbing them to try and get them into a less embarrassing state and ended up not using the particularly bad pieces. This was an absolutely horrific experience which was helped very little by the staff members who just did not seem to care about the situation. Would not in a million years recommend to anyone.

Thanks for all your help with our recent wedding on 26th November. Everything was all perfect thanks, from the glasses to the tables chairs and the chair sashes. I could not fault it.The staff were fantastic and delivered everything with a minimum of fuss.Highly recommended.

I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The gear arrived when expected and they phoned ahead. All equipment was clean and in good condition. And their prices were the most competitive.

Pretty much just a roller door in a backstreet. i went to pick up some crockery and cutlery for a party, none of it had been packed and to start with noone was even there, i had to wait for about 10 minutes for someone to open the door. The lady getting my order out didn't even know what quantities of stuff I was meant to have.Not really pleased with the warehouse or the service.

I dont know if I caught the lady on a bad day but I just wanted to enquire ablut the process and pricing of it all. The lady was SO rude to me over the phone. She was patronizing and condescending... it's a shame because all the other reviews I read said the service was good so maybe just a one off?She took several days to send me through the quote and I ended up choosing Olympic Party hire instead because they were over 100 dollars cheaper. The service was WAY better! Such a shame about that poor experience.....

We hired over $1000 of equipment from this firm and were completely dissatisfied!Firstly the flooring. They came and measured up but this was not done correctly and on the day of installation we were told they could only put down about 6 metres of the 18m x 5m. Eventually they cut the flooring to fit, after much negotiation and stress. The flooring itself was completely substandard with raw wooden floor boards that looked like they were seconds from Bunnings. There were many chips and gouges and one crack. We had to warn all our female guests to take care to ensure no accidents with high heels or clothing.Only one of two punch dispensers was delivered and we had to ring to ask for the other to be delivered. At this point I was asked over the phone if WE had checked the lights! I just assumed that the hiring company would do that before they were delivered! As it turned out one of the disco lights had a loose wire and did not work and so was taken back.We were at that point told that there were no spares and even if there were they would not have time to deliver them to us!On the night of the party it was discovered that one of the punch dispensers did not work! We had to ring A.H. number and another was delivered but the party had started when it arrived. So first only one delivered and then one didn't work!The Marquee was fine, but other than that, I would never use recommend this company to anyone!

Recently went with my husband to their new showroom in Norwood to view some items to hire for my child's birthday party. I must admit i was very impressed, heaps of items, great service, great location, excellent parking and above all fantastic quality equipment for hire and very reasonable prices.Thanks Budget Party Hire.....will definitely be back when we need something for our next event. Keep up the good work!

We hired them for our wedding and had booked them to drop off what we had selected the day before the wedding and to pick it all up the day after.The flooring for the marquee was extremely damaged and filthy. One of the items was a subwoofer that didn’t even work, multiple items were missing from the order such as door panels for the marquee, lighting and sound system wiring. They assured me that the aforementioned items would be delivered before the day's end, but as the end of the day was approaching I called them again to confirm that they were still coming… they then told me that they would send someone out with the missing items the next day… the day of the wedding… so they did so. And when they came to pick up their things the day after the wedding, they came at the wrong time.Extremely unprofessional, would not recommend them at all. due to all the above, they made what was meant to be a very special day into an unnecessarily stressful event.
