Have family who live in the village, they and everyone you meet who live in the village seem very happy with the facilities available. If I was retiring would recommend highly.

It's the sort of location you want to keep a secret. It's a great place to live and you would not want a lot of people coming here and overcrowding it. So I am not going to reveal too much.Suffice to say it's located alongside the beautiful Tweed River in the peaceful setting of the Northern Rivers region with lots of river bird life, fishing and natural wildlife. Shopping centres, cinemas, boating, hospitals, - all amenities - are nearby and easy to access. But if you don't live here already please look somewhere else.Gotta go now for a dip in one of our two pools. Bye !

Think on climate change if looking for 10+ years, storm events and large volumes of water will affect the area as it lies in a flood zone and is marginally above the Terranora Inlet sea level. The M1 overpass shoulders rain run off also into the village boundary off Norfolk Drive. Insurance for flood zone is not cheap. MHIA does not cover flood damage. Check council reports on this issue as land at 132-134 Dry Dock Road adjoining is under review for rezoning as non residential land for recreational use only.

the place where I live.Good afternoon lovely people, I never thought to do this, tell u were I live, I am orig from NZ, please don't groan, yet another kiwi, That was 11 years ago, we were going to rent, then the GFC, then the interest we got wasn't matching the rental price, scaree. We rented in Coolangatta, that is lovely, but hey we had to find something to call our own, no children, or dependants, this looked good, very different the 1/4 acre section and the big house, 40 years in that, it is amazing how u can adjust, AT THE PALMS VILLAGE, of course u purchase the house and pay the site fee, like $135pw rates, water rates, maintenance of swimming pools, if you are over the gardening thing, eg lawn mowing and cutting and trimming trees, this is the place, and so handy to everything Hospitals, Malls, Centro and Tweed City, all a stones throw away, Bus service is just outside the Palms, across the road, The social club is great, neat venue, good acts, meals, small subsrciption. Here in these houses, U GET MORE U TIME, I have just comondered a cleaner, wow, seriously, the weather is always lovely, I would rather be outside on the deck, enjoying life than cleaning, which ladies and gents we have done all of our working life. I never thought in one million years I would be in a place like this, hey no kids, funds are not shared by family, I was gonna buy a piece of Australian land, but this place seemed far to good to pass up, and the Management are now so Good, Tony Hopkins is the Palms Manager, he is fantastic, honest, fair to all, understanding, oh yes the site goes up $3.00 pw ONCE EVERY YEAR. So fair, as the pools are all costly to maintain, lighting in the many bar be cue areas, weed spraying round your home, mowing all the lawns, seems fair, rather they do it than me, had my fair share of lawn doing. The Clubhouse where they have Friday nights doo's apparently there is a man who attends he is a 100 yrs old he gets up and dances, it is all well run, plenty happening, and they have indoor bowls they who attend they seem to enjoy that, then there is craft times in the clubhouse. No I don't go to any of them, love being home, nice feeling, as they say here in the bumf (brochures) what u choose to do is entirely up to u. I call it independences with a bit of caring thrown in, again it is up to you, if u can't manage something, Tony can advise you. Sometimes at the Mall's one can see quite a few residence, we laugh, oh I haven't seen u for a while, and sometimes we see no one from the Palms, luck of the draw. I will try and find a photo, if not, maybe we will catch up here, Here is a picture of Summer, we looked after her, whilst her Mummy was out, she loved sitting on our balcony, look at the day bed behind, yes we spend a lot of time having a rest, enjoying the sun, reading, it is just part of God's paradise, trueLastly, important. NO ENTRY OR EXIT FEES, U MAINTAIN YOUR OWN HOME. MARVELLOUS
