It’s a surprise birthday cake for me and I loved it. This is layers of mudcake. The dark chocolate they use is very good quality. The cake is moist and ganache is perfect compliment each other. Not overly sweet. Just perfect. I ❤️ this cake.

Always so incredible with every creation! Not just the amazing cakes in the windows but the attention to every detail of the experience at Soirée Cakes. The team always makes me feel so welcome!! I love how the store has been transformed into a studio now and that consultations are by appointment only. It makes the entire process of ordering your cake so exclusive & that bit more special.The team are such professionals and the studio, the atmosphere is so friendly. The Best cakes ever! I would give 10 stars if I could!!

We bought a standard single layered birthday cake from Soiree before Christmas last year for our son's birthday party. When the cake was cut open, a 5cm twisted plastic straw was found. The straw was disgusting. You can imagine how embarrassed we were in front of all the guests we invited. The entertainer we hired was literally shocked. She has cut many cakes at kids birthday party and never saw any plastics in them. The photos are self explanatory.Soiree claimed that the straw is the 'modern technique' they used to construct cakes. A few issues here:1. When we picked up the cake, Soiree never advised us either verbally or in written that there is a 5cm plastic straw in the cake.2. This is a standard sized single layered cake. What role would a twisted 5cm straw play in cake construction process? Support and upper layer or keep the cake in shape? It does not make any sense to me.3. Put the embarrassment aside, can you ever imagine what would happen if one of the kids at the birthday party ate the straw and got choked?Soiree is very arrogant. No integrity and customer service experience at all!---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Respond to Soiree:Firstly I share the same frustration and embarrassment my wife had. I have every right to share my experience here. I was shocked to see your comments around requesting us to delete our comments and rating. There is nothing wrong for us to share our experience being good or bad.Secondly you brought up another issue around the cookies. It is a separate issue. Even though it was an equally unpleasant if not worse experience with your shop, I tend to not mix it with the issue I raised above. Clearly there was a huge breakdown in communication. That’s probably something we would consider raising to the Fair Tradings as opposed to North Sydney Council.Last but not least, you probably think you have done everything you possibly could to fix the issues. There is no denying that you have offered us full refund after a series of incidents. We chose not to take it. The main reason was that whilst offering financial reimbursement, you never stopped self-defending by indicating that everything was our fault. Clearly there was no communication about the straw until the issue was raised to you after my son's birthday party. After we raised the issue, you kept referring us to industry standard and your ratings and indicated that most of your customers would be aware of the straws you place in the cake, instead of offering a sincere apology. Sorry we are not expert in your industry and probably not as professional as your other customers. But we certainly did not enjoy being finger pointed at as ignorant and stupid customer. I am disappointed that even now you are still questioning about our integrity and honesty and even our linguistic ability. I am actually glad you brought it up. Your statement is truly reflective of your arrogance. I've certainly seen similar comments and ratings under Google Review.This is quite an emotional event for us as it is associated with my son’s birthday. We've spent hours on it and it occurs to me that it's not taking us anywhere. Feel free to continue to defend yourself. But again I have every right to share my experience through social media.

It takes a lot for me to leave a one star but the service we just received here upset us a lot. We booked our wedding cake here previously and thought it would have been perfect to get a fancy cake for our one-year-old who has had a really difficult start in life. We were excited to come and chat with the lady today and had already been once but they were closed by two then so we came back specially today. The door was locked, and when the lady finally came out after around ten minutes, she wouldn’t discuss our options with us and just told us to go online. She closed the door without saying goodbye and was apparently quite angry that we had disturbed her. Really upset by this experience. :-(

Fantastic place for coffee and cake. Very friendly owner who makes all the cakes on the premises.They even offer high tea for $49 or $59 (I forget) but based on our weekly purchases I can only this would be brilliant too. There is sufficient seating inside or in the backyard for having a sit down coffee and cake.Would highly recommend the Skim Mocha - it has delicious chocolate as the base!

Ordered a cake for our business event and it was delicious!!! Design was on point and delivery very prompt. Would recommend this business to my associates. The staff at Soiree Cakes are lovely to deal with also, which was the cherry on top! *bad pun intended*

Love love LOVE cakes from Soiree. Their cakes and cupcakes are always delicious and moist. Highly recommend. Always a big hit in our office!
