This was very interesting. My wife and I have been for many massages and know what to expect from a massage. Anyway the lady asked us what massage we wanted and said either deep tissue or Swedish relaxing. I did not want a Deep tissue because sometimes it can be like a workout so we both opted for a Swedish. My wife is also a fully qualified trained masseuse with an international qualification so she too knows what a proper massage is. So the massage began and 5 mins in I felt like I was being gently rubbed with little more than feather pressure. I asked the lady if she could please increase the pressure a little to which she responded, this is a relaxation massage you asked for not deep tissue" I said I dont want deep tissue to which she started arguing with me that going harder will cost me more money. I said firmly to her

I train 5-6 days per week gym and Muay Thai and I’ve been having massages once per week for years. Out of all the places I’ve been to, The Retreat Thai Massage is by far the best and Irene is an amazing masseuse. Highly recommended!
