Hot Potato Band (School Workshops & Concerts)
The Hot Potato Band performed at our public school Showcase Concert and absolutely blew everyone away.They surpassed all expectations. Not only the kids but the parents and visitors were all entertained. The energy levels were high, the music incredible and no doubt they have inspired our students to begin and continue their own music journey.Highly recommended. We will be rebooking for sure!!

What a breath of fresh air this group is!After hearing about successful concerts and workshops in neighbouring schools, I had high hopes for these events working with my primary and secondary school band ensembles. I could not have ever imagined the level of engagement and excitement that Hot Potato Band brought to my schools.Weeks later, my students are talking about this day, and the knowledge and confidence that band members imparted with students around improvisation and stage presence will be very long lasting.Some HPB band members come from a music education background, and this is very evident in the way that the group interact with, and teach young musicians.I cannot recommend this group highly enough!My students, school admin and music families are already excited about hopefully having Hot Potato Band back next year.

Hot Potato Band (School Workshops & Concerts)
We had HPB out to work with our Elective Music and band students and it was an amazing day! The band were so much fun to work with and really got the students excited about performing again. They also created a tailored workshop on improvisation for our advanced students. The relaxed, fun and contemporary approach to music really resonated with our teenage students. They are still raving about it and singing the songs together in class.

This was fantastic! Our students participated in a workshop and performance with the guys and both students and staff haven't stopped raving about it. For our school, it was such a great culture builder and will really shape the way our students interact with music for years to come.Already booking you next time you're in Adelaide!

Hot Potato Band (School Workshops & Concerts)
All I can say is WOW! The workshops with the band kids were amazing. The HPB showed our band (Oatley West) kids the fun side of performing in their band.The energy that the HPB put into their performances and the workshops was fantastic. I’ve never seen such wide smiles on the kids faces and never seen them have so much fun performing.Every single kid and teacher in the hall was joining in and dancing and clapping.After the last two years, with covid and all the restrictions around instrument playing and bands, it was so inspiring for the kids to have the Hot Potato Band come to school.Thank you for the very important part you have played in helping to reinvigorate our band program and for showing the whole school that it is actually really cool to be in band.

Hot Potato Band (School Workshops & Concerts)
Hot Potato Band did a workshop and roving performance around the school at lunchtime. The students really enjoyed the workshop, learning about music theory, stylistic understanding and enjoyed the opportunity to perform a piece they had been learning with the band. The roving performance was a huge success with the band followed around the school by over 100 boys singing and dancing.

Hot Potato Band continue to blow us away with their excellence in running workshops and performances for schools. Their highly engaging and interactive days with our schools have inspired our students to join or re-join bands, and to pursue music further than they may have otherwise. Not only do HPB inspire the students, though - all of the teachers who have attended have come away with raving reviews and a greater appreciation for music.I cannot recommend them highly enough, to both rejuvenate school music programs, particularly after the last few years, or build upon well-established programs.Thank you, Hot Potato!

So much fun! Great music and equally great energy. The band kids loved the workshop and really enjoyed participating in the concert for Yr 8. The Yr 8 students thoroughly enjoyed the concert. Our band kids were the cool kids of the school thanks to The Hot Potato Band.

Hot Potato Band (School Workshops & Concerts)
The team of incredible musicians at HPB gave one of the most exciting workshops our school has hosted. From the opening notes our students were enthralled - from Primary aged beginners through to HSC seasoned musicians. The performance from the band was engaging and musically stunning, and the workshop they undertook with our concert band students had them chomping at the bit. It was an excellent way to infuse enthusiasm into our student body, and an incredibly entertaining experience for our music staff (and the rest of the teachers too!). I look forward to having them back in the future to work with other cohorts of students and share the energy and joy that they infuse into each note of their performances. Highly recommended.
