Absolutely flawless!As a passionate foodie, I’m so glad we had the chance to savour the delicious food at Raku. Our killer sequence (highly recommended) is:Spicy EdamameSashimiKorean Fried ChickenMedium done Wagyu (top of the menu list) andThe chocolate cheesecake.No doubt one of the best Japanese restaurants I’ve been!

We enjoyed our meal greatly. Lots of options to choose from, sashimi, sushi, hot dishes, starters etc. The Nadu dengaku was delicious as was the Udon Seafood soup. The waitress was not overly friendly..And they are tight with sittings due to covid (understandable). I few less traditional options like the volcano roll which was stacked sushi with a lot of sauce - still enjoyed by all despite being not what you would get in Japan.

Made a booking on a recommendation. Walked in and was greatly by very friendly staff, promptly seated and water brought to table.The menu whilst not overly extensive had an excellent selection.The wine selection was good and also pleasing to see local wines featured. If you are after a beer, very hard to go past the Asahi on tap.We chose two starters and three mains. This was so much food and possibly over ordered by one main.Flavours were incredible across all dishes. Presentation was excellent. Unlike many Australian Japanese restaurants, Raku Izakaya did not over power dishes with sauces.The freshness of the ingredients really shone through.Highly recommend visiting Raku Izakaya but bookings are essential as they were fully booked and locals tell us this is a usual occurrence.

Had 8 dishes, including main dishes like Fried prawn udon soup, the duck and wagyu.Fried prawn udon soup was a disappointment as the fried prawn was made to swim in the soup instead of placed aside. The duck breast was tender but the sauce taste weird in combination with polenta. The wagyu was asked to be medium rare done and it was very good except the meat sauce was on the high sweet side. Meat quality was great. One thing surprised me was the freshness of the fish, it was very fresh -- excellent, giving the fact that Orange was so much inland. The staffs were friendly and welcoming. However the boss himself need to improve his management with customer expectation. If your restaurant open at 5.30pm, and your customer was 10min early at 5.50pm for 6pm booking, making us wait outside in the cold was unbelievably amazing.

So great to have such a quality Japanese Restaurant in regional NSW! We had the Chicken Katsu Bento Box, Seafood Ramen, Braised Pork Belly, Miso Soup and the Soft Shell Crab Roll. All meals were delicious and fresh, the service was friendly and quick! Such a great feeling to enjoy a world quality meal with great service. We travelled from Parkes to Orange to enjoy this meal and I recommend this place absolutely. I believe they are now also open in Bathurst. 10/10

Fantastic Japanese dinner right in the middle of Orange. The food was exceptional and I could not recommend Raku enough. Definitely worth booking ahead as they get busy, and you will understand why once you try their dishes!

We came here for dinner for 2, having prebooked. The restaurant was packed so bookings are necessary. The service was great with all the staff being very friendly. We had the Wagyu Beef which was juicy, perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. The terriyaki chicken which was piping hot and full of flavour. The spicy edamame which was definitely spicy. The calamari was crunchy on the outside, and tender on the inside.

The food is not bad :)) felt there was too much sauce on the wagyu beef, might have covered the taste of the beef. Beef was cooked to what we asked for - medium rare.
