Slippery Little Suckers

Gotta be one of my favourite stores. The owner is extremely experienced, knowledgeable and honest about your options and how to get your tank up and running properly.Always something new to see in store and somehow always has the rarest stuff around in.

Thanh has ruined me... I went in to buy a small tank and a goldfish or two for my daughter, now I have a beautiful tropical tank with green Tetras, Espei Rasbora and two Peppermint Plecos... and I spend my lunch times looking up fish to add to it.Thanh, Nick and Alvin are incredibly knowledgeable and professional, with second-to-none customer service, always willing to answer any and all questions I have had, no matter how annoying or silly, as I get in to the hobby.Most importantly, I've always felt like they really care about their customers and their fish.Thanks so much for all of your help.

I've always driven past but have never gone in. Yesterday i went in for the first time to get some suitable companions for my new Betta, Fred.First i asked for cherry shrimps, but learning that i had a Betta, the guy was reluctant to recommend.He showed me some tetras, then asked me some other questions but when i said i only had the tank a couple of days, he wouldnt sell me the tetras either. Instead he sold me a bio starter, a fish house, a waterplant with driftwood and told me to go back next week with 100ml of water sample for them to help me test the water to see if its ready for new fish.I can tell they love their fish. It's not the money, it's making sure the fish have a safe environment to thrive in.(But yes i agree, some items aren't cheap there. Oh well. Its a business, not charity. I'd rather go and learn valuable information on how to care for my fish from someone who knows their stuff)Will be back next week, meanwhile, I'll do my best to get my tank ready for the new tetras.

Staff really pushy to get you to buy expensive items. Young staff member constantly told me what to buy and it was always the more expensive alternative. A bought a really small tank for $134!

I’ve had multiple experiences with this store over many months, so I feel this rating is well-informed.The staff member, Tan, is an aggressive brute. This is reflected by a number of other one star reviews here too.The products are also sub-par compared to other similar stores, and insanely expensive.Do yourself a favour and just look up online or go elsewhere. Save your time and money.

This is a fantastic local fish store. They have a really great range and all the fish are really healthy. They sell higher quality products rather than cheap stuff that breaks quickly. Always love visiting this store. The owner Tan is really knowledgeable, he wouldn’t let us buy fish until our tank was ready. Awesome shopping experience.

I went into the store and although staff were nice and knew their stuff, I saw many of their tanks had fish covered in ick which I had to point out to them. The items were super overpriced and the staff kept pushing me to buy more things. Would not recommend buying anything from this store unless you want aquariums filled with ick and spend 150 bucks on a 3 gallon aquarium.

The owner Thanh really knows his stuff and the store is well stocked and maintained. My kids love to visit just to see the aquatic creatures and say hello. We love the ADA tanks and the aquascapes. There’s always something new to discover and we always feel welcomed. We are massive fans of Slippery Little Suckers!
