The Strawberry Forest
I Love this place. It is such a clever idea to grow the strawberries upright. It makes picking these delicious fruit a breeze. The wide spaces between make it pram and wheelchair friendly. There is a small fee required to gain entry ($2) which most likely covers any taste testing that may occur. There are handy containers, to place your bounty in. If you love strawberries, it's sensible to take two baskets.Because for the way the strawberries are grown, it makes it easy for children to join in on the fun. When it is a hot day, take a wide brimmed hat and water (there are drinks and ice creams at the entrance available for purchase) The staff are friendly. Best to bring cash, but I recall seeing someone using PayWave.

What a great way to pick strawberries! Easy on the back and fun for the kids and you don't have to worry about where you step! The $2 entry fee is well worth it. They give you containers so you don't have to BYO and they also have card facilities for easy payment. We took home 2 kilos of the nicest strawberries I have seen in a long while. It was also a nice lesson for the kids to see what colour strawberries can be rather than the pale excuses you find in the supermarket. We'll definitely be back sooner rather than later.

Find a strawberry picking destination with a difference. Instead of being grown in the ground The Strawberry Forest has the innovative vertical strawberry trees! They are spaced so they pram and wheelchair friendly. The Strawberry Forestuse all natural products, making the fruit safe to consume. It is pretty cool to wander around in this maze of brightly colored strawberry pillars. there are a;so hidden treasures placed in the forest as part of the 'Strawberry secrets' Treasure hunt. Find 4 of the items and you will receive a 5% off voucher for the next door Fruits of Life, which sells a variety of fresh fruit and veg plus dairy, juice and other pantry items. The strawberries are sweet and juicy and in my opinion well worth the $$ for a fantastic day out and the fruit made for a fantastic dessert once we got home. The Strawberry Forest is easy to find as well, they are located at: 391 The Avenue of Honour, Bacchus Marsh (As stated above).

We went to the Strawberry forest to pick strawberries. In their website it has clearly mentioned that they are open today the 1st of Feb. But after travelling more than 50kms to pick strawberries the lady at the reception said the farm is closed for the season. Even when I tried calling them to they didn't answer. I am extremely disappointed as they should not lie to people about their opening hours in their website!

The strawberry forest was great and the entry fee very cheap($2). There weren’t many people there and the strawberries were ripe and tasty. I went on a Sunday and there were still lots of strawberries left.

A fun outing with the kids to pick strawberries. It would be better if there were more strawberry related things either other activities or specialty strawberry products like jams or ice creams. A bit far to drive to from the city so other activities would be great. Much easier to pick strawberries when they're raised rather than in the fields.

We came to the strawberry forest for my daughters 2nd birthday. It was such a pleasant morning as a family, the lovely staff welcomed us and showed us how to pick the strawberries. There were so many big juicy strawberries!
