Matchbox

Went to Matchbox to shop with my friends last week. A lady working there named Nicole had disgusting customer service. She didnt greet us when we walked in but looked at us like we did something wrong, so rude and unfriendly. She made us feel really unwelcome. She definitely need to learn what customer service is and be retrained.I was wondering how she has the job but her work is a major downside for the reputation of a business.

The staff is very rude here and have the worst customer service. They keep the frank greens behind the counter so I went to grab one since the two ladies on the floor couldn’t be bothered helping me, and the older lady looked disgusted in me and forced me to pay for it straight away… I didn’t even have a chance to browse at anything else. She was just so rude the whole time and when I asked for a bag to put my water bottle into she threw it at me. Definitely don’t recommend shopping here and I won’t be wasting my money again.

Amazing customer service and great prices. We were served by Nicky this morning, buying a knife for my partners work, she was very helpful and gave great service. We will definitely be back again. :)

Good range of kitchen gear, online store as well

Purchased a set of Global Knives at the Chermside store today. Knives are fantastic and price is extremely competitive.Customer service was brilliant. The lady that served me was knowledgeable, friendly and went way beyond what I was expecting. About 2 weeks ago I walked into the Mt Ommaney store and walked out very disappointed. The younger lady in the store could not have been more rude and disinterested. I don’t punish a company due to 1 bad experience and the ladies at Chermside made up for it - hence the 5 stars.Thanks ladies :).

The customer service today was really bad. The lady at the counter was very rude and just lacked manners. I needed something in bulk and had called them in advance and requested them to put some stock aside for me. They just dumped everything in two plastic bags and had a lot of damaged and scratched goods. They dint even seem sorry or tried to help when I pointed out that a lot of them were in bad condition. I spent an hour just going through the batch to sort out the good ones and at the end of it, they gave me an incorrect bill. I usually never bother to calculate, but thankfully today I did. I did not see any of them smile throughout the time that I was there. At the end of it there was a 'have a good day' without even looking at me. One of the worst experience ever, wouldn't have bought anything had I not needed the stuff for an occasion. Headed to Harris Scarf to pick up the quantity I was short of, literally took me 10 mins. Their stock was well kept and the staff was lovely. Never going back to Matchbox!

Two things always stand out at this store.1. Excellent and friendly customer service.2. They almost always have promotions and sales on.You will always find something of good value or a great conversation started to put in that gift bag!Top favourites that clients love1. The jar lid opener2. The bottle stopperThey also have Yumbox bento boxes but (Yumboxes are well made but super pricey and not much room in box)They also sell onion glasses... (cooking in loud style!) and they sell those corn end pins which can be ridiculously hard to find.Plenty of backing decorations and all kinds of handy and unique cooking implements!See photos for some examples of the stock.

Great staff run this store. the manager was more than helpful with suggestions and providing many options for us to choose from with pros and cons of each product. Looking forward to coming back next time we visit.

Ive shopped here before and on my visit Nicole was more than happy to help me out finding a little play thing for my pet lorikeet.Not my usual place to shop for this , but had what I needed, great price too..

Going here was a wonderful experience. I didn't feel pushed to buy products and the assistant was very helpful.
