100/10I tried at least half the menu between my family and I and nothing disappointed. It was very very busy on a Friday night and the wait staff still made sure to look after us. All the staff were professional and friendly. The tortellini was the dish of the night. Highly recommend to anyone reading.Big thank you for such beautiful food and service

Loved every dish except for the black chicken. Great service and was flexible re swapping a dish with no extra charge. Not the best atmosphere for group dinners; tables are so close to each other so it’s hard to have a proper convo. $95pp tasting menu mandatory for groups of 6 and above.

A Memorable Dining Experience at Eightysix North Braddon RestaurantWe recently had the pleasure of dining at Eightysix North Braddon Restaurant with a dear friend during our visit to Canberra. Coming from Sydney, we were excited to explore the culinary scene in the city, and Eightysix truly exceeded our expectations. The restaurant's ambiance was beautifully crafted, featuring clever decor and a wine cellar integrated into the wall, which added a touch of elegance to the dining experience. From the moment we entered, the service and staff were nothing short of exceptional. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was top-notch.Now, let's talk about the food. The dishes presented to us were true works of art, not only visually stunning but also incredibly tantalizing to our taste buds. Among all the delicious offerings, the duck ragu and the steak tartare stood out as our personal favourites. The flavors were expertly balanced, showcasing the culinary skill of the chefs at Eightysix. Even though we don't typically indulge in dessert wine, we couldn't resist trying it here, and we must say, it was surprisingly enjoyable.Overall, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Eightysix North Braddon Restaurant for creating cherished memories of our dining experience with friends. The combination of delightful ambiance, impeccable service, and exquisite dishes made it an evening to remember. We highly recommend Eightysix to anyone visiting Canberra or even locals who seek an exceptional culinary adventure. It deserves every bit of its five-star rating.

A bit of a joke this was, really, the food was good but the portions were tiny, even tinier than what they used to be. Tables were crammed in. It was extremely noisy, we had to yell so we could hear each other. The service was very slow. We were seated at the table at the corner facing the fire extinguisher. The bill was a joke too.

Wonderful food, warm and generous service. Very much appreciated the excellent, well-priced wine suggestions. We had a great time.

One word: perfection. In every sense possible. We came here for a business dinner. My first impression was well this is a bit casual and loud. But I was soon blown away by the extremely high quality of the dishes. Every single one was fantastic, flavors really well balanced. We ordered Kingfish, steak tartar, filet, two veggie dishes and blackened chicken, followed by dessert. Truly magnificent. As an example: several people commented how much the loved the cauliflower even though they don’t usually eat cauliflower at all.Had (French) wines accompanying the dinner and these were also all really amazing.I am dairy free and had no issues at all ordering dishes I could eat. For once no compromises and only one (usually vegan) choice, yay!We got really lucky as we were served by the owner (I think), who provided the most spectacular service, came to chat about wines and let us try some too. Almost felt like being invited for dinner to a friend’s house. Can’t recommend highly enough!!

This place has consistently high quality food and service. We were won over and made a point of coming back before leaving Canberra. If you are ever in the area I thoroughly recommend booking in. The tasting menu is good value and you get to try multiple dishes, but bring your appetite. We got this the first time and I struggled to finish everything, but I didn't want to leave anything because every dish was satisfying and delicious. Very well balanced flavours.

Eightysix has some of the best food in Canberra. I recently popped in post-dinner for dessert and the classic banoffee pie was incredible as ever. The restaurant has strong modern Australian vibes and is fancy but friendly/causal at the same time. The food here is pricier in comparison to other Braddon restaurants but well worth it in my opinion.

One of the best restaurants in my mind and I came from Sydney. The food, the service and the atmosphere, everything is just spot on. We ordered the a la carte, the beef fillet was so perfectly done and the steak tartare was amazing!!!

Must try the ravioli and deconstructed cheese cake! Ordered the set menu for two and every dish was generously served. The staff and kitchen were kind enough to swop the desserts since we had too much mains and felt too full. The chicken was soft and falls off the bone. Very flavoursome. Some dishes might be a bit too spicy for my personal liking but the overall taste was amazing. Staff was also super easy going and friendly.
