Ruined Castle walking track
Overall its a good walk but not as much as I expected it to be. I had my expectations high as I was expecting it to be something of the level of Grand Canyon Walk.60% of the walk is Grade 3 but the first 45 minutes and last 30 minutes are grade 4 or may be grade 5.You see good views at some spots. When you reach at the ruined castle mountains, its hard to stay there for more than 15 minutes especially if its hot weather because there is no shade there. I climbed to the highest point and the view is very very good there.

Ruined Castle walking track
Be careful of track changes, new obstacles and slippery mudslide areas after the recent storms. It was muddy when I went that day. Great views. There are many steps both uphill and downhill but overall the walk was not overly challenging.

Easy to navigate, great views and lovely weather. Look out for yellow signposts if unsure (landslide part; be aware of the correct path). Recommend starting from Furber Steps (Scenic World) rather than Golden Stairs.

Fun hike, varies terrain with good views. The castle is easily the highlight. It is a bit hard to get to as some climbing is required. But well worth it.

Brilliant and tranquil walking track.Some of the steps down can be a little small, narrow and slippery, but there's no huge off path experience required.Just make sure you have decent hiking boots on and plenty of water with you.There's no forks or anything along the path, so it's no difficult to follow the path.

Great walk. Steep stairs down from carpark but then an easy walk along the base of the cliff to the Ruined Castle. To get the best views you need to do some rock scrabbling.

Stunning hike the change from rainforest to forest to rock scramble to stunning 360 degree view was amazing. Take plenty of water there is no watercourse on this strech. There are a couple little camp sites but it's easy enough for a family to do the round trip to Ruined Castle in a day from the golden stairs carpark

Ruined Castle walking track
Excellent views, but bring good shoes. The trail provides a decent hike that will give a solid workout.Those massive stairs that start you off, are the ones you’re going to have to climb back up to finish!There are plenty of verticals near the end, be prepared to climb some bare rocks up. The journey is definitely worth it though.
