Bowen Estate
One of the best Cabernet Sauvignon's in the country I reckon, and this year is no exception. Our crew bought 8 cartons all up and I would have given 5 stars except for the fact that as I now live in Queensland I have to have the wine posted - and this was the only winery of the 8 I visited that I had to pay postage (on the 2 cartons I purchased). Every other winery had free freight if you bought 1 carton. Our host was lovely and very knowledgeable.

Bowen had to be the most charming and welcoming of the Cellar Doors I experienced, a quaint tasting room that's small and cosy. Friendly hosts.My pick was the 2018 Shiraz, there was 4 or 5 wines on tasting, a small selection but done well.

They only had four wines on tasting, but each one of them was stunning. One of the best wineries we found in Coonawarra. Staff were really nice as well.

Great little find after visiting Coonawarra for the first time. Well made and delicious wines that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting this region. We were only able to try 2 of their 3 wines but walked away with a few bottles as they were one of our favourites across Coonawarra. Definitely worth stopping by!

2020 Cabernet, Wow, this is powerfully expressive Cab with hints of cedar, mint and raspberry. With very subtle french oak and a fine tannin balance the Bowen family have crafted a superb Cabernet that has richness, density and volume. A wine for the ages2020 Shiraz A beautifully balanced Shiraz with those plummy fruit and white pepper characters dominating the nose. Great mouth feel that lingers well after the glass is empty having you looking for more.

AMAZING wine all at under $30 a bottle (I would have paid at least $50!). A small, unassuming cellar door but with delicious wine inside. A small range but they do it expertly, we bought more wine here than at all the other Coonawarra wineries combined. Great service too!
