Abbey Beach Resort

Tired, smelly and old. Our first apartment was dirty and the phone didn’t work. We heard every noise above us like torture. We moved the next day to an even dirtier apartment. I bought cleaning products but the kitchen smelt like something was wrotten. The smell was overwhelming so we had to keep all doors and windows open. Main hairdryer wouldn’t work, kitchen sink was leaking and Venetian blinds fell off the tracks when opening. Staff were lovely though, so we sucked it up the second time.

From the moment we walked into Abbey Beach Reception, we felt the staff were extremely friendly, attentive, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Their smiles were infectious and the atmosphere was second to none.All staff, from the cleaning, maintenance, grounds persons and hospitality staff were conscientious and extremely efficient. They appeared to be very proud and happy at their work place.This is a huge credit to the admin team that shows their staff are treated with respect and very much appreciated - It truly comes through!Well done to all of you and thank you for looking after your clientele.It is so appreciated!.Ed & Liz James.

Lovely room and facilities.Perfect for a getaway to recharge.Love that is so close to the beach and the town.Just don't pay for the breakfast as it is a rip off and the food was very much below standard for a hotel.Go into town and support a local Cafe.

Second stay at Abbey Beach Resort for a night. When checking in, the reception lady didn't make eye contact with me, or smile. Came across as disrespectful especially since I paid $400 to stay for 1 night. Other reception lady at the time seemed equally unfriendly. Maybe they'd had a rough day, but personally when I show up to work I put on a friendly face no matter what's going on.Room had a great view, very spacious. Great kitchenette, comfy bed. Pools weren't too overcrowded. Lovely gardens and so close to the beach. WiFi control for people's TVs was accessible for everyone's TV which I found odd..I could view/play or pause anything people in other rooms were watching. I was taking my bags back to the car 45 min before checkout on my card locked me out of my room. Would've been very inconvenient if hubby hadn't been there to let me in.

Great location close to the beach and the room was spacious. What was lacking was some finishing touches. No finesse in the decor, black mould on the ceiling in the bathroom and very limited dietary options at the restaurant. We asked for some plant based milk for our tea in the room, thinking that would be available these days. We were presented with oat milk at the door, which was poured into a takeaway coffee cup, we were informed they had 3 options and this was the one they thought we would prefer, never giving us the choice, and we were charged for this dubious privilege

5 star location in the heart of the town, close to all amenities, like restaurants and IGA, yet have its own private beach as backyard. Fantastic service, we went there for just a quick stopover for a night and chose to stay in a 3 br apartment where they didnt have air conditioner in 2 of the rooms. We called the reception quite late to ask for heaters and withing few minutes they sent two fan heaters for us.Rooms are spacious but need a little bit tlc- quite old fashioned.Bathrooms and showers are the same, big and spacious but in need of bit tlc. The only room that had air conditioner, was old window type AC and very very noisy. When we changed setting twice during the night, it made so loud noice that woke my kids up from sleep.Otherwise no complaints. Nice playgrpund, lake, onsite restaurants and parking. There were nice swimming pools and also one indoor heated one but we couldnt get enough time to use them.

Lovely place, I have stayed here many times over the years...has all the facilities needed, pools, tennis courts, gym for any weather. The location of Abbey Beach Resort is perfect, just a short walk to pristine uncrowded beaches

It is a wonderful place and well designed. Stuffs are professinal and kind. The yard and beach are splendid. But just like one single hair in a delicious dish. The bathroom exhaust fan havn't been cleaned for a long time. Dust dropping on the sink, and there is even a dead bee. Please, please, you are owning such a beautiful place, I believe you can do better on these small things.

My wife and I have just enjoyed a wonderful week's stay at Abbey Beach Resort with our good friends and family. We enjoyed a beautiful stay and the staff were excellent in every respect. The room we had was well maintained, ideal for our stay. A big thank you to all of the staff who made our experience memorable.
