We ordered the barramundi with chips, and salt and pepper squid. The barramundi was really fresh but portion was a bit on the smaller side. Squid was fresh too. Friendly staff.

Great seafood location in BYRON. Located in a discrete lane way, the atmosphere here is excellent.A little on the pricey side, but well worth it. Basic alcohol selection available including local beers.

Stumbled across this place today at around 12 noon. Was looking for a lovely seafood lunch. Not a fancy place. Not a friendly place. But we thought we would give it a go. My friend ordered grilled Barramundi with “home made chips” and I ordered the salmon with “home made chips”. Sounded simple but nice. I thought it was unusual when the waitress said “before we turn the stove on you need to pay upfront”. What? Why? We did. But now we know why. Because if you had not paid, you wouldn’t have. Nice grilled fish on a plate with beautiful crispy home made chips, tartare sauce on the side? No! Served in a grey 4 sided soup dish. The “home made crispy chips” at the bottom of the corroded bowl, fish dumped on top. Juices of the fish and lemon ensuring that your chips will be a soggy mess. The fish was awful. Thin, no flavour and the skin on the salmon was sticky and stuck to the chips. It was horrible. Neither of us could eat this mess. Oh, did I mention that the tartare sauce was dumped on top in a plastic container? Lovely! Needless to say, we didn’t eat it. The waitress came to collect the “bowls of fish and chips”. I told her the food should have been served on plates and also that it was horrible food. She said “sorry you didn’t like it” and walked away. Nobody came near to ask about our concerns. We didn’t have alcohol or entrees. Just the main meal. Each meal was $31.99. A disgrace. The worst of the worst.

Food was delicious and fresh. Highly recommend getting the specials as they taste much better than your typical fish and chips shop.Server was very kind and accommodating for our needs. Highly recommend this hidden gem!

The fish tacos and wrap are bangin! You’ll find them down an ally way, they’re located closer to the beach and right next to the big pub

Absolutely worst restaurant I have ever been to in my life. Where do I even start? We ordered four meals, all paying individually. We only received 3 of our orders. When we tried to explain to the waiter that we have not received one of our orders, we were accused of not paying. We had all of our bank statements to show we paid for the meals however they still refused to give us our order as they could not find their handwritten, 1997 paper receipt. My friends and I are were verbally abused and threatened to be kicked out of the restaurant. If we stayed any longer to complain, I fear that I may not have seen the light of day as they were getting very aggressive and border line physical. I would not recommend this restaurant even to my worst enemy.

Excellent eatery! Friendly service and great tunes. Loved the Fresh Off the Boar Barramundi with homemade chips! The potato cakes are a must have as well - perfectly crunchy and can be enjoyed in their own right!

Went for dinner. I found that the atmosphere was not the best maybe it was the time I had arrived but I wasn’t a fan. The food was good but quite hard to eat out of the bowls that they have.

Everything was perfect when we dined in here. The food came at once and was a good portion for two people. We tasted a bit like a fusion mix between Asians and Aus. Very good.
