Klei on Beach
I booked the 3 hour one-off pottery workshop for my mum and I for a fun Christmas holiday activity. Mark was an incredible teacher and offered such gentle and helpful guidance. Both myself and my mum were total beginners but felt comfortable and were having fun from the moment we walked in, and both made some beautiful things to take home! I can't recommend highly enough and can't wait to sign up for an 8 week course!

Brilliant ! Brilliant ! My best friend and myself went to the Sunday morning pottery beginner class, and I honestly couldn't recommend Mark and Laurie more highly, experts in their field and completely puts your mind at ease as nervous and unsure total novices, and reassuring. Loved every minute of the class, and they gave the class of 6 equal time and helped everyone. Was very impressed with every aspect of this class and will definitely be returning soon for another class.. Thank you Mark and Laurie :) !

I would recommend Klei pottery if you are looking for something special experience. I tasted the beauty of pottery even as a completely begginer. With a wonderful support, I had a creative/ fun weekend. Not only that, I got lovely pots I made.

Love learning pottery there, love the teachers and love all the guys who attend my class! I’m so glad I found this place.Pottery helps me slow down and be present and focused for a couple of hours. It also challenges me and allows me to be creative. And Klei on Beach is the perfect place to do that.The teachers are very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.I’m definitely signing up for another course with them.

The pottery classes here are first class!There were always 2 teachers to the 8 students and they always provided assistance no matter how ambitious the project was that we had chosen.We have done multiple terms of wheel pottery with Klei on Beach and we could not recommend them more highly.

Had great fun and made lots of bowls/dishes/mugs of all shapes and sizes during the 8 week course. Learned a lot about the craft from Mark and Laurie - who are a real pair of characters. Whether attending for a half-day workshop or a multi-week course, they warmly welcome everyone and will make sure you leave with something you are happy with. Highly recommend to individuals, couples and groups. A great way to meet other people too.

I loved taking pottery class at Klei a few years ago. I would definitely return. The classes are affordable, and conducted in a fun and educational setting. I would absolutely go back and do more classes with Klei. The biggest barrier is time and location as I've since had a child and moved suburbs.

We had such a good time taking pottery classes at Klei. I had no previous experience at all -- I was never good at art at school -- but we got lots of practical advice and guidance. As well as having a lot of fun learning something new, we've also got lovely pieces we actually use in our home. It was a great way to switch off, and I'd definitely recommend them as a place to learn and practice pottery.

Very friendly and patient. This was my first time and I felt the instructor was calm and encouraging. We had plenty of time to make our pots and I would definitely recommend this class.
