Capital Radiology Footscray

Booked for 1:30pm for Ultrasound and Xray. I actually had it at 2pm but they rang me to change if possible and was happy to accomodate. Ultrasound went well and on-time and then they said wait for the Xray. Had to wait another hour even when people came in and had appointments after me (they came in, got seen and they left)... they kept saying your next...but other people 2:10pm/2:20pm appointments got seen before me again. I had to leave in the end without having the Xray due to other appointments I had. Came in all the way from Geelong. Disappointing is all I can say...no apologies or anything...so yeah disappointing and very unlikely to come back here.

Lovely receptionist and a friendly sonographer. My appointment was on time and there's free 2-hour parking on Summerhill rd with a short 3-4 minute walk or ticketed parking available.

Professional staff. Got an MRI on time. Not sure what the whiners giving bad ratings want from the place.

I’ve been using capital radiology for many year’s and I’ve never came a-crossed the rudest and most unapologetic receptionist ever,Cleary they made the error from their side and tried to blame it on the patient without acknowledging their mistake.

Rang to book a CT for my elderly mother - Mel who answered my call was fantastic and very helpful

Receptionist noted that there was a 30 min wait but was in, xrayed & got copies all in 15 mins. The only negative is that as it’s near the hospital the parking on the street is 2P paid, through EasyPark, from 8am-10pm M-Sun. The 2 hours would cost you $5, the 17mins I parked cost $0.89.

I have used capital services before and always get asked if I prefer male or female radiologists. For breast ultrasound always go for females. Today I came for the appointment I booked weeks ago for both breasts ultrasound and hey wanted to pass me with a man without previous notice, completely ignoring my requests. I don’t mind having any test done by a male professional but I would have asked my partner to be with me. Still, there are many reasons why a woman will not have this kind of exams done by a man ( Religious, traumas, cultural etc…)This is very disrespectful as I had to leave work early to attend the appointment and I had to reschedule even already being at the location, the radiologist wasn’t very nice either when I told him I prefer a female.Again, there are many reasons why a woman would reject to have a male performing a breast exam so how is it possible that this center has completely ignore this and not even bother to offer to give me an appointment soon? Now I have to wait another 3 weeks and leave work early.

The nursing, technicians and medical do a fine and professional job. The facilities and equipment are very good. It's the front desk staff came across as condescending and unwelcoming. They made me feel like it was an inconvenience for me to be there.

Reception staff were really nice, and the radiologist was reassuring and professional. The only downside was the equipment for MRIs isn't very size inclusive so it took a while trying to find a solution to get my leg set up for the MRI. This isn't uncommon in the medical industry though...

Very caring radiologist who took my concerns of having 3 x rays in a short period of time seriously, explained to me that it was a very low dose x ray so I needn't worry at all and still provided me with a lead apron just for peace of mind. Friendly and helpful staff at the reception too, overall clean and well maintained appearance.
