For several months, the Tom Price & Paraburdoo communities have been without a permanent veterinary doctor; Instead bringing several locum vets from around the country on short term work. As a wildlife handler, I am very greatful to Pets & Vets for their effort to provide the community with a veterinary service whilst they search for a suitable vet for permanent placement. During this interim period, I have met very reputable vets; such as Dr Rick Fenny, the 'Red Dog Vet'. However, a special mention needs to be made for Dr Beth. I have never known a more passionate and professional vet. In my experience, many vets have a bias to one or more species of animal; however not Dr Beth. Her professional skill and passion ranges from dogs, to birds, reptiles and more; domesticated and wild! Additionally, Her animal ethics and moral compass towards not only the animal but also the owner is of high commendation. Her animal welfare advice and education to pet owners is extensive and easily understood. Even going as far as to provide additional resources to help pet owners and wildlife handlers alike. If there is ever a vet I would recommend, it is Dr. Beth. She is a stellar example of what a veterinary doctor should be. I sincerely hope the Tom Price Veterinary Clinic is blessed with her professionalism again.
