If you are looking for a tranquil getaway with friends or family this is the place for you! Such a beautiful location and the accommodation was spacious and spotless! The view from the deck is gorgeous, you can see beautiful farm land and even a few friendly horses which family loved! Perfect little getaway! Highly recommend!

I booked a night at Murdoch for my partners birthday. The website isn’t quite finished and it’s a challenge to find info on pricing; emails were replied to quickly however a clearer pricing structure for accommodation, food and add on experiences would be valuable.The accommodation is new and thoughtfully done. We felt the space was quite cluttered, decor could really be simplified, we had to move ornaments to put a drink down on the coffee table and it almost felt like you were in someone else’s home rather than a holiday accommodation.The kitchen and bar is well stocked with both utensils and supplies for breakfast / snacks / alcohol, though an option for bottles of wine would be nice. The local gin and whisky collection is very good.The meals in the freezer were good. Made locally in town.We had booked a private chef dining experience to make my partners birthday really special however they cancelled in the afternoon of the experience which was a real shame. The host’s mum was lovely and came over to apologise / help where she could. A refund was offered and promptly returned to us.The bed was super comfortable. The downside being there are no blinds with a 2 storey window facing the bed and the house facing east, meaning the sun streams in from early on waking you, especially in summer. Blinds would be a good addition.There are apparently plans for an outdoor spa which would be a good addition. Notably, the website states ‘pour yourself a glass and enjoy the outdoor spa’, but there isn’t one yet which was quite disappointing.The location itself is very pretty and peaceful, walkable to Brook Eden cellar door and a short drive to many more.Currently, I’m not sure I’d return for $700 per night and there are a few ‘teething problems’ that need ironing out.
