Very congenial staff, good lunch options, cold beers, it was hotasnormally out there for a summers day. No way I be wearing a coat to the funeral ,just doesn't go with shorts. And no one but Greg could recall what his ban was about. Aah those country folk know how to take the p$ss , mostly over a cold ale.

On our bike trip, we spent a night in Tara and just had the best time in this cosy, classic country hotel. The publican and staff were so friendly and we got to chat to the locals for most of the night. We ate the rissoles and lamb cutlets for dinner and they were both excellent, very generous dishes, exactly what you would hope for from a county pub. Our accommodation was in the cabins at the back of the hotel. The rooms were immaculate with a cosy bed for a good nights sleep, after a long days ride. Huge thanks for the experience Tara.

Nice little local pub with pool tables, beer garden, kids playroom for kids off the dining room and good food. Wonderful staff.

It's good for functions. The food is pretty good, but the day we went someone's order was under cooked.
