I purchased my first property with Peter and his team and they seemed genuinely helpful and understanding of the hesitation and queries a first home buyer has. He went out of his way to fix up issues with the property before final settlement even though he wasn't legally obliged to. Overall he and his team are warm and friendly and I am very happy with the purchase (now been almost a year in the property). I know Peter and his team have copped a bit of flack on google reviews from a small disgruntled minority. I think all you need to do is consider that these reviews are in general from tenants for property they have had to manage and it seems in most cases are acting out of anger over issurs santuary real estate probably cant control as property managers. You only need to see the gibberish language used in most of the comments to get the feeling people making complaints probably aren't the best people to take advice from.

Have dealt with Peter Swain and company for the last 17 years. Always very responsive and professional. Have a great knowledge of rental property management and strata management. Always go above and beyond with a genuine caring attitude.

Sanctuary Real Estate went over and above when selling our house.Peter covered every base and helped us get a quick and easy sale at a good price. They were also extremely diplomatic when dealing with estranged parties, essentially making the sale possible.Couldn't recommend them enough. I'm going to be a repeat customer.

Highly recommended!I spent 3 years with them as a tenant. The team are polite, professional, have been absolutely wonderful to deal with, and the sort of people you want to keep in touch with.

Long time coming. Rented a place with Peter Swain back in 2017-2018 and upon leaving, we used their recommended cleaner. After the clean he tried to claim the house was not up to standard and so we would not get our bond back. I then asked for the cleaners details to contact them directly and leave a poor review and he waivered after some deliberation. Sneaky, spineless and dishonest.

By far the best communication I’ve ever had from a real estate company. The team at Sanctuary are responsive and were fast to act on any issue or question I had, which made renting an absolute breeze.

This is from a landlord currently using their services...I have one of my properties managed by this agency and I am truly unsatisfied with their management services.Very poor services indeed!I have another investment property being managed by other agency so I can make a fair comparison of what I am saying.If you are looking for property management services, I'd definitely NOT recommend them - and this statement is coming from a landlord that is currently using their services.I could number several episodes to justify my disappointment and complaint, including being quoted for a service but being charged 20% more than the agreed amount...However to just list the most recent ones:1) I had a routine inspection conducted at my property (which I had to pay for) when the agency was already aware that within just 3 weeks a final inspection would be required, given that the tenants would be vacant the property. In other words, they found a way to pretty much charge an extra service that they knew that wasn't really necessary.2) However, the worst part is that the agency didn't really ensure that the tenants were paying rent for the last 4 remaining weeks of the tenancy agreement.But, the agent made sure they withheld funds (money received from rent previously) to cover their own fees and they didn't have any loss.Meanwhile, the rent wasn't being paid, accordingly.Interesting thing to think... you contract an agent to ensure that your property is looked after and the tenants are up to date with payment of rent.But, the property manager doesn't really collect rent for 4 weeks, and doesn't ensure that the rent is up to date, but they surely secure funds from the rent money in their account to pay themselves.To summarise: Terrible experience!!I would never recommend them to any landlord as they are not really looking after your property for you.

Probably the worst experience I've ever had trying to buy an investment property. Truly unprofessional service. If your a seller, you will NOT get top dollar for your property!

BEWARE!This Property manager is nothing but shameful!Didn’t collect rent from the tenants letting them fall into arrears but kept money for himself!Upon questioning why he hadn’t properly managed and collected rent.Could suddenly not be available to meet with and discuss,Being sent an email saying not his problem and to just take the tennants to court!WHAT IS A PROPERTY MANAGERS JOB..TO LOOK AFTER A PROPERTY AND COLLECT RENTWhat a joke!BEWARE …Do not use this agency to manage your properties!!!!
