Peter and the team rebuilt my tired Mitsubishi Pajero engine 3 years ago and since then I have done big trips in northern Queensland (the Cape) and around Central Australia (the Rock). The engine runs great. I'd highly recommend getting your engine rebuilt at his engine shop.The people leaving 1 star reviews need to reset their expectations. The business function is in the name - not or . Such trivial jobs don't pay the wages of the employees or cover business operating costs.

Took my cylinder in to get it measured accurately. The guy pulls out a broken pair of vernier calipers and gives me a measurement that is no where near possible for a factory bore. I'd hate to see how they rebuild engines if this is how they measure things.

Unfortunately my worst experience ever with a mechanic shop. unable to even attempt a basic job of removing some studs, my engine block spent seven weeks on a grubby floor in the corner of their shop, worst of all it was unprotected. Customer service was rude and horrible, I can reccomend to never use this place, find another shop in darwin or send it down south.

Had a motor built by these guys and finally got it back in late July last year after it had been dropped off in April. It is still within its warranty period of 10,000km and it is leaking oil for the 2nd time now from the same area on its sump and I was told they would not fix it again and that the parts were damaged when they installed them by Peter McIver himself on my last phone call which is far from what I expected from this workshop.
