Mid City Motel Warrnambool

the only good thing about this place is the location. once we opened the door we were hit with cheap kmart utilities (literally, i have the exact same kettle and microwave in my own home) which we thought was steep for the price of the stay. there was also no extra utensils provided, besides two mugs and two teaspoons. we had to ask reception for EVERYTHING we needed, including towels, bowls, plates etc, instead of it already being supplied in the room on arrival.the mugs that were already in the room were dirty, the pool had literal shards of glass in it and was very unclean, the parking was horrible, and the price is ridiculous.very disappointed in my stay here.

Stayed January 2010, travelled as a coupleThis place does the job, and pretty well considering many motels you'll find around the place. The location is great, the staff were friendly and the room was large and comfortable. Our room, on the ground floor and about half way down on the western side, was nice and quiet.

False advertising! Specifically booked accommodation with a pool. It is the middle of summer afterall.Arrive at the motel and am directed by staff to our room, with them noting our room is opposite the pool. Handout information also noted pool hours.Later in the afternoon we thought we go for a swim. Well we quickly realised the pool hasn't been cleaned in some time. No sinage around the pool advising it is closed. Nothing on the website.Check FB and a post from 2 days prior shows a picture of their sparkling pool #poolsideFuming now. As we go to check out the next morning (lucky we only stayed one night) I question staff about the pool and they played dumb as if they didn't know the pool was out of service. Then remembered the maintenance man said something about the pool. I call bs!Not happy with the attitude of staff who could have been honest and advised clients when the checked in about the matter. I feel sorry for everyone else who has stayed here recently over the summer period.The room itself was fine. But with all advertising pointing to a beautiful I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it to friends.

Just checked in and absolutely ridiculous... Bed sheets aren’t clean and covered with body hair... smells not clean whatsoever... Dirty bathroom, the coffee mugs and the tea spoons are just wiped down not washed or exchanged with clean ones...

What indeed is a queen premium room?? One would expect a bit of class and style..alas not here. Very small room, absolutely tiny bathroom, and all a bit tired. Far too expensive for what it was. We are touring Victoria slowly, and have come to expect a certain standard. This place missed by a country mile!!!

I have nothing positive to report on my stay at theMid City. I rang through and asked if they had a room with a walk in shower as we were two older women. Were told we’d be put in a ‘Premium’ room. $199 later there was nothing premium about this room except the walk in shower!! It was cramped, toilet seat broken, nowhere to put clothes, no cutlery or china except 2 mugs. Went to make a cup of tea, no biscuits, thought they had forgotten, went to the office to ask, was told by a chap with a ‘don’t care’ attitude, No….no….we don’t do biscuits!!! Stayed in Forbes where they had been hit with floods earlier in the year, beds floating away, everything had to be replaced. You could learn much from those who have suffered hardship. It was twice the quality of yours. Will not be staying here again.Loreto Kennedy.

This is Definitely NOT a good place to stay in. We booked 4 rooms and paid quite a decent chunk of amount for the rooms and were clearly very unhappy with the overall service. Heavily priced and the service was not good at all. Out of 4 rooms 2 room split air cons were leaking with water tipping on the couch.. The staff member was alerted but nothing was done.. One split did not even have a remote. There were issues with the shower as well. Really not happy with the facilities or service and we paid 2300 for the 4 rooms. We are NEVER going to use this motel ever again. And will inform all the family and friends we have here to not use this motel ever.

Broken bathroom doors, the kettle was moldy and had some grime inside. Make sure you check the kettle before you use it. Or i may say avoid using it. Carpets and couches are dirty. Those maroon couches should be thrown away by now. They are filthy.Staff was very friendly and helpful. And have a good location.

To the lovely families out there be wary booking any of the family rooms (60,61,62). We booked over the phone and weren’t told that there is a temporary commercial laundry on the first floor beneath the rooms.The view under our balcony was trolleys of soiled linen, the walk to get to the room was through trolleys of soiled linen. The washers and dryers churned away all night leaving our children and ourselves with a sleepless night. The pipes for the dryers run under the floor of the rooms creating a lovely inside temperature that the split systems cannot cool.To top off the fantastic atmosphere we also had below our room large barrels of caustic labelled liquid and workers who enjoyed a cigarette every 30 minutes.I mentioned the dissatisfaction of paying nearly $450 for a night in an industrial estate and all I got was “the commercial laundry is mentioned on booking sites”, wasn’t mentioned when I booked over the phone.The room itself, well after we cleaned the left over pasta out of the sink from the previous guests, the beds seemed clean.Mid-City you should research your Occupancy Permit and class of building you are charging ridiculous fees for lovely families and children to stay in, it may bite you one day!

Well kept rooms, clean and comfortable. Unlike some motels this is not self catering but there are enough places, including their own restaurant to eat.
