Exceptional Service!!!This is my 3rd time using McConnells. I have brought 3 very different piece to McConnells and each time have received back exactly what I wanted, completed to an exceptionally high standard. From a custom designed chair, reupholstered antique chair and refurbishment of an occasional chair. John’s work and attention to detail is amazing. The time taken to understand the purpose and select just the right fabric for the space. All pieces have come back and have been the star of the show, even if subtle in design, quality is quality. For the third time, we have used McConnell's to revamp cherished heirloom pieces of furniture.This time we asked for the McConnell's magic to be directed toward a miners couch that my beloved father had made for me in his backyard shed. I can't believe the transformation. Now that this beautiful piece has been given a make over, it is even more comfortable to sit on than it is gorgeous to look at.Our comfortable 3 seater lounge has been given another life in gorgeous rich navy fabric.The rocker chair and two armchairs that match the 3 seater look fantastic in the fabrics chosen.Thanks to John and Kerry for making out tired furniture look better than we've ever known it to look.Previous projects completed by John and Kerry are a box lounge that belonged to my grandmother, and a decorative upholstered chair given a magical makeover in my daughters room that was completed when she was young but still looks great in her adult bedroom.I would highly recommend McConnell's Furnishing and Upholstery to anyone considering giving loved furniture a make over.

Quality of the reupholstering is fantastic. Had two second hand armchairs recovered, one in fabric and another in a leather hide that was to my luck made available just before I visited.As second hand items, extra work to padding and creation of a new cushion was intuitively done to further the quality of the chairs.Highly recommend and would return without second thought.

I only do reviews if my experience is very good or extremely bad. I wouldn't go anywhere else but here. The patterns line up. The owners are honest and manage expectations. You're not paying for their FB or any other advertising puffery. No-one gets five stars unless they ask if there was one single thing we could do better
