Taro's Ramen
I really want to like Taro's and have given it many chances but the ramen is just not that great unfortunately. The Tonkotsu is less flavorsome than others but also way richer & fatty which doesn't make you feel great.The prices are significantly higher than other ramen places around. On the plus side, service, ambience and the sides are all great!

Brisbane's best ramenTaro's ramen is a top contender for Brisbane's best ramen. It's consistently good at all the Taro's ramen outlets - the stock is thick, rich and porky. The hand made noodles are chewy and cooked to perfection. The ramen is terrific, but if you start adding topping and extras in can get pricey.

The BEST ramen around, any of the Taros stores never disappoint but this is our local store and we love it. We've been enough times that we've gotten the shirt from the loyalty card and are close to the apron baha

Taro's Ramen
There's a big attempt to be an authentic Japanese/Korean eating house both in the decore and the menu. In fact most of the staff are Japanese also, but they speak great English. After we figured out the hi-tech ordering system it was kimchi/pork rice bowl and fire tonkatsu ramen with pork. Self-serve free condiments are pickled ginger and a green vegetable. They have a good selection of drinks including beers including Suntory but no Kirin or Asahi. My kimchi pork rice dish was great but my Thai wife didn't care for her ramen noodles much and it wasn't very spicy for her taste. Food came fast but not together and the service is very friendly and helpful. Japanese are so polite!

Over priced, below average tasting food and there's a weekend surcharge of 10%. We spent over $60 for two bowls of ramen and an entree for lunch. Can't recommend this place, there are better ramen venues in the city worth the price tag. Staff are very friendly tho.

Taro's Ramen
We tried the spicy ramen and curry karrage. The spicy ramen was really hot and really tasty. And the crunch of the chicken was great.We've been to other taro's ramen around Brisbane and the food is just as good but this venue was a little less busy.The staff were really nice.

Good food but expensive for what you get. With a large serving you get no extra meat, the only thing you get more is noodles. Plus 10% surcharge for weekend kinda strange.
