Wow...What a top spot to camp up and destress.Positioned right on the upper macleay river. Fresh water and clean air, the perfect recipe to regain peace of mind.There are pit toilets onsite.Highly recommend camping out here.

Found this amazing spot in a camping book. Christmas time so was a busy camp ground. We were immediately stopped before getting out of our vehicle by Swany" who told us he was the caretaker

Great campground, plenty of flat grassy space. Camping sites are well above the river banks and drain well, despite some heavy rain the ground was relatively dry.Relatively easy winding dirt road to get there.

Amazing spot for an overnight stay ( I could have stayed longer). Lots of tree (dangerous ones) removal jobs were happening recently. This is essentially a cattle grazing area so please be respectful of them and enjoy! Oh, there are nice cool long drop toilet here too. One of the fellow traveller even spotted some humongous mussels in the creek.

Free camping, lots of space. Very beautiful river. Good fishing. Plenty of grass to set up camp. Must place to visit. Only has long drops. No electricity or drinking water.

FEES- FREEDon’t park or camp on the bark section.^frogs are noisy as hellCouple of bins around. You should use them if you rock up. Or take your rubbish with you.Otherwise nice spot to stop for the night without having to book.

Awesome spot. The veiw of the mountain as the sun sets is pretty hard to beat, well worth the journey to get here. Good base to start from to navigate upstream into the serenity to find some bass. It's on a TSR so don't be surprised if you wake up to cattle in your campsite.

What's not to love about this place, the river is awesome and the camping areas are great too. Was a little flooded this time due to Harvey rain up in the hills but the really wasn't a deal breaker.
