Bodalla Park Rest Area
This is a great rest area! Has fresh water, bathrooms and camp fire pits. Located far enough away from the road. The area has flat ground. Good for vans and camper vans.

Bodalla Park Rest Area
Great place to stop and camp. Lots of people seem to stay in their campers and vans. Toilets smelly but they are not at all bad to use. There are plenty of picnic tables and a campfire spot, but a fire ban might be in place when you stay so just double check.

Stayed 1 night here. Very nice area and walk to the lake. Well kept drop toilets.

Awesome spot, great facilities and close to town. You can hear trucks throughout the night which is the only downside, but other than that you feel as if you're in the middle of the forrest. Only about 10 spots so might be hard to get one in peak holiday times

Nice walking track! Come here early enough to secure a spot as it ain't big here. Especially to the people with tents: take care of the tree branches falling down! It's very dangerous.Shoot out to the ladies servicing the bench: funny you are using lots of oil for it but not putting a warning sign up so people might fk up all their clothing

Good free camp site we got there at 4pm on a Tuesday and there was only 1 spot left so make sure you get here early. There does seem to be some long term caravans here taking up a few spots but there is plenty left for overnight campers.

I would give it more stars if I thought it was being used properly as a rest area as there are some nice sites in there and a good bush walk too. Unfortunately there seemed to be a mix of travelling public doing the right thing and some long term sitters which make it less desirable as a short term rest area

Great free camping area. Extremely quiet. Well maintained drop toilets; take soap and paper. Large flat gravel sites to accommodate large caravans and car, and plenty of nice grassy areas to pitch tents. There is also a drinking water tap to fill containers etc.Lovely bushwalk down to and around the shores of Lake Mummuga (you could effectively walk all the way to Dalmeny and back on track and fire road if you had a few hours)
