HoneyBee Hives

Di at HoneyBee Hives really cares about her bees, and she goes above and beyond to get Nucs ready for safe transportation during the ideal weather conditions; each Nuc with a healthy Queen and plenty of brood.Today, just a few months later, I had my first honey harvest!

Di and Scott at Honey Bee Hives are so lovely and amazing, they made us feel welcome and were more than happy to answer any questions we have. They have some lovely honey products that are beautiful to use. I would highly recommend anyone interested in becoming a bee keeper to give these guys a call.

I thoroughly enjoyed the two hour presentation about bees.It was very informative & presented in such a delightful way, that even an absolute novice like myself understood everything.The presentor Di, was excellent & held my attention (as well as 30 school children's) for the whole time. Two hours just flew past.I found the venue cosy & friendly.Honey Bee-Hives is top quality in every way!!!

I enjoyed the presentation, demonstration, samples, practical sessions and honey & beeswax items available. Di engages everybody, very knowledgeable and the session flowed well. I'll be back.

An amazing presentation by Di!Our preschool children were very surprised when Di arrived dressed in her beekeeper’s suit. Di showed our children and families the tools she uses for beekeeping and explained the complex process of how bees make honey. Everyone had a great time learning, asking questions and getting to taste honey (and honeycomb). Di left some sunflower seeds for us to plant for the bees in our garden. Thank you for such a wonderful morning of learning!

Grafton and District Garden Club had the pleasure of Di's enthusiasm, passion and knowledge of Honey Bees. Our members always learn so much when she visits.

Di provided a fun and interesting workshop of value. She is very knowledgeable on all things bees and myself and my family came away enriched by the time with her.

I attended the DIY Products from a Bee and the education talk about bees hosted by Di. Overall, the workshops were super fun and interactive. Di was a fantastic teacher. Her passion for all things bees was inspirational. We learnt a lot about how bees are critical to sustaining life on earth, the process of pollination, the life cycle of bees and so much more. In our workshop we got hands on making beeswax wraps and watching how Di makes her awesome lip balm and leather restorer.At the end of the day, I came away from the workshops totally in awe of how wonderous bees truly are. I felt inspired by having made my own wrap and gained a wealth of knowledge that will help me to make changes in my own backyard to sustain/grow our bee population into the future. I would totally recommend this course to anyone.
